The candy buffet

I want to have a candy buffet as our favors but don't know how much candy to buy for approximately 80 people. I know some guests won't eat candy so should I plan for less or buy more?? Help. I am also doing the candy in our primary wedding color, red and want ideas as to good combinations of candy. Any suggestions??

    Determine what you are going to put the candy in for people to take home, find out how much it holds and multiply that by 80 people.  Most websites suggest 1/4 lb. to 1/2 lb. per person so you probably need about 40 lbs.

    M&M's and reese's pieces...mmmm!love the idea of a candy buffet! i too, am struggling with the whole concept of how to arrange everything, but really want/hope to figure it out!lots of luck with everything:) keep us posted!

    We are doing the candy buffet as well. Our colors are purple and silver, so we're doing grape jolly ranchers, purple rock candy, purple m&m's, silver jordan almonds, and some more purple. We are getting the little boxes that look like chinese take out boxes for our guests to take them home in and are having between 100-150 guests.
