Bella Pictures

Has anyone used Bella Pictures for either your engagement or wedding pictures??  If so how was your experience with them and the photographer that was selected for your wedding?? So far I like what I see having met with them, but I am worried about it being a larger company and them selecting a photographer out a a pool of subcontracted photographers. Any guidence would be much appreciated, or even other recommendations of Photographers in the San Diego area... Thanks!

I had the same concerns, as they could not guarantee that I would have the same photographer for my engagement session and my wedding. I talked to several photographers and googled "bella pictures reviews"...the process whereby they assign a photographer is not as "scientific" as they claim, but there are some good experiences. I believe that you will have a competent photographer, but your satisfaction will depend on what you are looking for. We weren't going to get what we wanted (more creative photography and more input in putting together our album), so we booked with another photographer (Kristy at aquario studios) and I'm very happy so far :)

I used Bella for our wedding.  We did not have the same photographer for both our engagement session and wedding.  We did not really care for the photographer that took our engagement photos and found the guy to be a little wierd.  Our wedding day photographer did a pretty good job and the album came out just the way we wanted (more traditional photos with some artistic ones added in).  We did, however, have to wait 5 months for our album to be created when they told us it would take 3 once it went into production.  Overall we got great pictures for what I thought was a pretty good price.  If you are looking for more artistic photos you may want to look around and see if you find someone else that fits into your budget.

I looked into them, but did not like the idea of not being guaranteed the same photog at my events. Since we would be working very close with the photographers I wanted to get to know someone on a more personal level. I went with my photogs Deshun & Yasmine of "Dapper Images" very cool people!

I talked with them also and I got a really bad feeling about them.  Then when I told them I was going to go with someone else the girl tried to talk me into still considering them by saying that the photographers take the pictures and then do not have to do any of the editing themselves.  To me this takes the art out of it.  I think it is very important to meet your photographer and have good chemistry with them!

I am using Bella Pictures. So far my experience with them has been excellent. They keep great contact and for me, as an out of town bride they have made my life very easy. I love their portfolio and love that they keep checking in with me, I don't have to keep tabs on them. I haven't used them yet, we didn't opt for an e-photo session with them, (because we got our for free elsewhere). So far so good.
