  We had the same problem, and ended up getting this set from pottery barn http://www.potterybarn.com/products/maxine-cake-serving-set/?pkey=x%7C4%7C1%7C%7C10%7Ccake%20knife%7C%7C0&cm_src=SCHIt isn't really 'decorated' but is really pretty in person and I love that it isn't super gaudy so we can use it for all of our special occasions instead of just once.

  I know you checked Macy's and Bed, Bath, & Beyond, but we got ours from there (both places had them) and they're a bit decorated but not overly in my opinion.  We also got the champagne flutes to match as our toasting glasses.  Normally I wouldn't have paid for them but I put them on my registry and figured if someone bought them great - I ended up getting both for my shower so I was happy.http://www1.macys.com/catalog/product/index.ognc?ID=242049&PseudoCat=se-xx-xx-xx.esn_results

  We got ours from Things Remembered, it had a design on it but it wasn't overboard IMO.  You can also have it engraved.

  We got the Kate Spade ones that say "Mr. & Mrs." on them.  I wanted something that we could use again.

  Mine is Kate Spade.  I believe it was either from Macy's or Bed Bath & Beyond.  Definitely something I can bring out again-classic and not wedding-ish.
