What is best?!

So I am having issues witjh my WD, I am 5.5´and not really skinny my arms are a lil bit fat so, i was reading on line and they recomend me a princess cut for the body, and sleeves but i a gettng marry on summer! and sleeves are not an option (i guess) I was thnking in an "off teh shoulder neck" and teh dress tight till a lil bit under the waist (or wher eit suppose to be) lol... but seriosuly i need suggestion i need to start this the wedding is in february!

Re: What is best?!

  • How about just toning up your arms? I have always had issues with my arms but there was no way I was going to wear sleeves. Also strapless with make your boob/arm/back fat stand out more, so choose accordingly.

  • tonning.. i am trying hard.. but the problem here is that i lose a lot of weight and teh sking in the back area of my arms is like "break" no idea how to explain it.... anyway thank you for ur advice :) u are really kind
  • I have this pilates(sorry if spelled wrong) dvd that came with a huge rubber band. I got it at TJ MAXX for like 4 dollars. It said i'll have a toner body in 2weeks. It works. It really works your arms out and it's only 30 minutes..but if you just wanted the arm work out it's about 15 min a day. Works wonders. Try that out..in a month you'll love your arms and won't worry about sleeves at all..You'll be flexing for people in your wedding dress haha :) I hope this helps.
  • Get out there and try stuff on.  What about getting a lace jacket or bolero?  It would cover up your arms and help give them a bit of definition, but wouldn't be nearly as hot as full sleeves.  I don't know about the smaller boutiques, but I know Alfred Angelo and David's Bridal had several different styles.  You could also look on Etsy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284

  • Toning is always good, I've been trying to do lots of triceps workouts but to have really toned arms it takes time! LOL I just wanted the armpit flab and oprah arm gone and that is the hardest to get rid of because you have to get rid of all excess fat first. I think a strapless could work if it is the right size to prevent spillage and if it is cut higher so you don't have front spillage.  Cap sleeves and off the shoulder sleeves just draw attention to your arms.  Try stuff on and go with what you feel most comfortable in.  If you are comfortable you will look beautiful.  I think a v-neck is pretty just be sure that you have some room in the armh holes.  (I'm doing v neck :))
  • I had the same issue, and I found that I didn't like what they said should look best.I wore a strapless ballgown, because I felt it looked the best and I was most comfortable with.So try on a few styles, you might be surprised what actually looks good on, it may not be what you think.
  • Wear what looks best on you that you love most (by trying on styles), and then do whatever is left by toning up your arms. Even if you lose weight, you won't get rid of excess hanging skin around the pits unless you do some lifting. GL!
