Reception Location on a Budget!

I am getting married 12.15.2013 and am still looking for a reception location! Our budget total for the reception is absolutely no more than $5,000. We are perfectly comfortable renting out any location that will allow for this that isn't the most ellegant. We're not looking for anything fancy, just somewhere to celebrate. We will have about 80 guests and are looking for a reception of about 3 hours.

I cannot seem to find any places...any suggestions?

Restaurants, hotels, B&B's, anything! We really need help so we can book a place as soon as possible!

Also, Metairie, Kenner, Harahan, Lakeview areas are perfectly fine!

    Try Jefferson Orleans, they have the north and the south. One is cheaper than the other. They are located in Metairie. Also, Magnolia Plantation was reasonaly priced and its pretty inside. That is located in Elmwood. There is also the Louisiana Castle, but I'm not sure on the price, but I've heard that it is reasonable. I hope this helps! If I think of any more, I'll post them!

    I'd suggest that you try the Kenner City Park Pavilion or Heritage Hall  in Kenner. The link that I'm attaching provides you with the information on capacity and price. Good luck!!!

    Smilie's in Harahan is definitely in that budget. I think it includes a cake also...

    I wouldnt go with Heritage Hall. I checked it out and it has a old mildew smell to it. And all Kenner provides is tables and chairs. Everything else you have to bring in. The kitchen area is small and not up to code in my opinion. Crystal Plantation in Kenner is nice and elegant

    Try Southport Hall! We are doing our reception there! The cheapest package is $23/person which includes food and open bar. It was the cheapest I could find. They also offer a DJ for $150 I believe. They book up fast! Good luck!
