non-wedding cake needed

hi - used the knot and the dc board for my october 05 wedding and am now active on the nest.  need a birthday cake for 30 people and am looking for a less expensive option than a traditional bakery.  was hoping one of you brides-to-be could recommend your at-home cake baker.  i recall considering several independent bakers when doing my wedding prep.  any suggestions?  we're in NOVA.  thanks and best wishes to all of you!

    I just used tast-e-cakes out of Centreville va for my mom's bday cake. The cake was sooo cute and exactly what I wanted. I had her make a white fondant cake with black polka dots and a high heel on top. It was exactly what I wanted and everyone loved it. The cake tasted really good too. Her prices are super cheap. I wish I had a picture of the cake, but I forgot to take my camera to the party and my aunt to all of the pictures. http://www.tast-e-cakes.com/contact_us

    I'd recommend  M & D Homemade Treats in Stafford.  They are affordable, beautiful and most important DELICIOUS!!!manddtreats at aol dot com
