I think you should definitely have pictures of stuff you like! That's the only thing I've been doing...saving images from the web and pulling stuff out of magazines. This way when I go (going on Saturday), they'll have a clear idea of what I like. :)

I'd say meet with your top 2 choices, any more and they can start to blur together and you might just forget who was who. Make sure your price includes the photographer you are meeting with, an engagement shoot, and two photographers so you can get the pictures of you walking down the aisle and also the other view of the train of your dress. Then also you will have formals covered AND cocktail hour not one or the other. Put EVERYTHING in writing, ask if they have backup cameras, backup photographers in case they get ill, and insurance. Someone wrote recently on here that the studio they hired (a bigger one) sent an alternate photographer, and they left during the bride getting ready. This probably would not happen if you built up a repore with them.

MOST importantly... Florists - ask about delivery fees, charging for transferring from a ceremony to reception (if separate places), about late-night pick-up (i.e. picking up when your reception is over, say midnight/1am) Photographers - if expecting/paying for 2 photographers, will they split up to shoot different places (i.e. one with bride/bridesmaids and one with groom/groomsmen) - or do they always remain together. MOST OF ALL - give your FIRM budget and make sure they know that needs to be inclusive of fees, etc. and is NOT flexible.  And with photographers, make sure you know if you are getting an album or not, etc.
