XP: How to address invitations

My fiance and I used to have two roommates, who happen to still live together. They're not officially or openly dating, but we've always kind of thought they were. It seems wasteful and stupid to send two separate invitations to the same address, but I know etiquette dictates that we do. We're lost...help?

    For 2 room mates living in the same household that were not dating/together I addressed them with each name on a seperate line.  For ones that i knew for sure were together I put them on the same line.  I'm not sure if that is the proper way to do it but I thought it seemed right.
