Reception LED Up-Lighting

Is/did anyone else using LED uplighting at their venue? If so, how much did they quote per can?
Our venue will provide the lighting for $50 per can, and our DJ confirmed that was an average rate but would discount it for us if we got it through them. I guess I'm wondering if anyone had gotten it for less than $35 per can...it can really add up, and for crying out loud, they are just BLUE LIGHTS!!! I thought of buying them, but on Ebay they are about $50 each, which defeats the purpose.

But if you bought them, then you could resell??  I'm not much help though, I'm not doing this.

$35 is a good price. Also, remember that the DJ (or venue) will set them up for you, which is just one less thing you'd have to worry about.

i am using them, but my venue threw it in with the contract for free, so i'm no help :(

this is what my DJ offered:
Accent Lighting - Up to 12 LED colored lights to splash the walls with color to add to the esthetics of your venue. (Static Color $500.00/Dynamic colors $700.00)

I ended up pricing my own uplighting when I was searching, before I changed my mind and decided we aren't doing it...
