Alterations?

Does anyone know of a place in Tallahassee that does good alterations? I would have got them done at the bridal store I got my dress at but the store got shut down so it is no longer there. I am on a tight budget and I am trying to find someone good but reasonable.

Didn't you say you wanted to be an English major?  You should study up on grammar before you come to FSU.Also, I'm looking for alterations too, so hopefully someone responds.  Kristin recommended someone a while back, but I can't remember who it was.  Bayhunter also has the people she used in her bio.

yeah the grammer was deff a joke. I know how to spell that at least I just suck with the commas and run on sentences etc. Navy yes I know I need to freshen up on my gramatical skills and I assumed I would learn a lot of it once I join the English program anyways.

yeah the grammer was deff a joke. Me thinks that was a genuine fail. And, I could be crazy, but waiting until you start the English program to "brush up" on your grammatical skills is a bad idea. You'll get eaten alive. Trust me, I was an English major at FSU until I switched to Advertising. And, that's the difference between a COMMUNITY COLLEGE and a UNIVERSITY.

CC = community college. I am there for now because I was given a scholarship specifically for community college then Im probably transferring to FSU or CU depending on if we move to Colorado or not.

Yea, I agree with Devon.  Community college is a LOT different than university.  Community college is more like high school.

Actually, I took community college classes in high school.I'm not dissing anyone who goes to community college to get their AA than change, but I'm just saying that it's a big change between the two!

I agree about it being like highschool. However, it is a great refresher for stuff you didnt learn in highschool or for stuff you need to polish (like grammar). I only have a couple semesters left but I plan on taking some classes that they have made specifically for English majors.

I lurve you ladies!Pag..I know Sunshine Seamstress (on N. Monroe across from Hooters) does alterations.  I had her do a bridesmaid dress years ago.you could also try Cindy Cope (850-322-0722).  Cindy's mom Gloria did my alterations, but I know that she only live in Tallahassee for part of the year.  I'm sure if you call Cindy and she can't do the alterations you can ask her about if her mom is available.

Niler's Fashions in Thomasville GA, is quick and very reasonable.  I only needed one fitting and she fixed many things!  The owner is very nice, helpful, and efficient!!  The only complaint is their hours; they close @ 5:30 p.m. every day and they are closed Sun, Mon, and Sat.  But otherwise, I was beyond impressed and pleased!
