Accountability - Tuesday

Good morning ladies, how was last night for everyone?
I will admit I skipped the gym trip for my 30-45 min of running before we had to head out again. Instead some extra time cleared up in our schedule (something was rescheduled) so we took the dogs for a good long walk :) That's the best exercise I know of because they love it SO much, and I live in a gorgeous area out in the country with pretty trails all around me.



How was last night for you ladies? Anyone find any new exercises or healthy food recipies that are helping them that they want to share?

  • Last night I ran 3 miles and my time was pretty good for not having run in awhile.  I also did the second day of the Ab Challenge I found on Pinterest.  I was able to do everything and I'm not as sore today (woo!).  I ate fairly healthy yesterday but nothing really good enough to give a recipe on.  I am making a tofu stir fry later this week that I am pumped about.  I'm adding a lot of fresh veggies to the mix with some lower sodium stir fry sauce so it should be delicious!
  • As expected, I only got to my pushups last night.  Going to do JM tonight. 

    Came up with a goal from yesterday's thread....since I'm focused on toning/strength....1. finish the 100 pushup challenge (I am really starting to see the CHALLENGE in it now that I'm in week 4 of 6) even if it means I start in military style pushups and have to drop to my knees at some point...just get thru it!  2. I want to be able to get through week 1 and 2 of the JM Ripped in 30 using 10 pound weights.  I think I can do about 75% of week 1 exercises and 50% of week 2 right now with 10 pound weights (on other exercises I use 5 or 6 pound weights).  I'd love to do it by end of April too which may be a push but as long as I've made progress I'm good.

    No new recipes but I have two issues of Self I haven't opened yet.  Not much time for pleasure reading (also have 1 and a half unread Cosmos) so I think I'm going to at least flip thru the Selfs to get some new recipes because I def need something new!  I'll share if I find anything good!
  • volleygurl I often have the same problem, just no time for pleasure reading unfortunately
  • FI and I took the dog for a walk, and since we set those goals yesterday I actually worked harder at my workout when we went to the gym last night.  Now I've decided that I need to set a schedule of lifting and ab workouts.  I was gettnig lazy and only running on the eliptical, so it's time to start lifting again.

  • Going to the gym after work. Have a tight time frame tonight, meeting a DJ at 7:30. Don't want to meet a potential vendor smelling like a gym hahaha

    The weather is so beautiful here this week, I'm planning on going for many walks the rest of the week.

  • FI and I just started Week 4 of C25k and I'm bummed.  I couldn't quite make it through the whole work out and had to rest, so I will have to repeat the work out until I can get through it without stopping.

    Food wise, I've done GREAT so far!  I cooked a bunch of healty food for the whole week and I have had a ton of water :)
