Our Best Man at Our Wedding

I was just remembering our wonderful wedding night when I came across the memory of our best man (DH's brother) and his speech.  This is what he said:Congrats and good luck and may the only ups & downs be under the sheets.everyone was mortified including myself..sometimes I just dont know about people.

Our GM said the same thing, except it was during our ceremony!! We did a ring ceremony where our rings are passed around (tied together) and each guest says something aloud to put "love" into our rings. Some things are sweet, some funny, some sappy, that was a bit much for me! I think that his wife almost killed him.

Ok that was bad, but it's something you won't ever forget :)

Well, it's certainly tacky but at least he didn't comment on your chest! My former coworker told me that his BM (and brother)'s toast involved comments on the bride's ample chest.YUCK!

It's going to be one of those moments that you will laugh about in a few years. I'm dreading what sort of speeches will be made at mine, FI's friends are pretty non PC.

Our best man, DH's brother, in his toast, made some reference to when DH "squirted out" of their mother. A lot of people were icked out by that image all night.

There's a HUGE difference between the bar toast and innuendo that happens amongst friends and what you can say in front of parents. When in doubt, say the toast in front of your local clergyman first!

HA! Our BM used the same line in his speech too.... I'm thinking it has to be on the web somewhere && they all pulled it from that. While it's mildly inappropriate - it's all in good fun && humor - afterall you need a few jokes thrown in the mix && every good speech needs a great unforgetable punch line. Nothing is worse than uptight events.

Yeah, I was thinking he got it offline too, since so many people had the same thing said at theirs.  It got quite a few laughs and some weird looks, some of the older guests didn't quite get it! LOL. And my MAN of honor, my brother said such an amazing speech, it had me and DH crying, so all in all it was a good mix!
