Back at 1....( kind of long)

So my whole wedding location has changed. The lady on base called me to say she made a "MISTAKE" and gave our date away?? Our date was June 12 for a smaller room well our guest list grew so July 17th was the only date for the bigger room. We took July 17th. I called her to put the deposit down and she say "oooh you didn't call me so I thought you didn't want it" ??? WTF I was told I would get a phone call within 24 hours if some one else was interested in the room so we can go head and put a deposit down! I feel like she just screwed everything up. She kept changing the price of things. I guess I should look at it like it wasn't meant but now we back at 1 :-(. I got a place off here called Pristine Chapel Lakeside. Have any one heard of it? We are going Monday to check it out. I'm so tired of this. I see the stress ppl go through with weddings and it's really getting to me. I don't know what to do. I feel like the wedding is around the corner and i'm already having dreams of everything going wronge. ( Sorry bout typeo's I have a headache.

    Take a breather and calm down. I can totally understand how you are feeling however take it as a sign obviously something better is coming to you and FI so don't let this get to you! Just get back up and get on the ball finding another venue! HTH! GL!

    Take a breath!! The same thing happened to me. We were supposed to get our room for the 17th of April, we had to change it to April 16. Which isn't so much of a big deal but I was pissed because she gave the date away. I hope that you find a venue for the date that you want or maybe a more beautiful site. GL!!

    I'm sorry you have to go through this. I just went throught the same exact thing lastweek so I know how you feel. Just calm down and regroup. Take this as a sign that something better is in store...Good luck !!

    I toured Pristine and I liked it! I chose to do a destination wedding but if I was doing it in Atlanta, it would have been at Pristine. Pristine is full service venue. They offer everything for you: coordinator, photographers, centerpieces, food, indoor and outdoor setting, etc. They really work with you. Call and ask them if you can schedule a tour. You get to look at the venue (inside and outside) with no obligations. Plus, the give you an estimate of what your wedding will cost based on what you want from them AND they can look up your desired date and tell you if it is booked. They seem to be well organized. With that being said, the only down side is that Pristine does three weddings a day (I think) so there may be a time limit on your wedding. Hope this helps. Good luck!

    shaunta - I am sorry to hear that the site coordinator jacked your room reservation up BUT I do think this may be a sign that something better is coming your & FI's way.take a moment to step away from wedding planning for a few days or a week and then start back at it cuz I know you are gonna luck up and get what you truly want at the price you want.

    I agree with the PP, if I weren't going home and having my wedding in Ohio, I would probably be having it at the Pristine Chapel. It is really beautiful and a full service venue. It is really worth going to see.

    We toured Pristine Chapel Lakeside and it was nice.  Package type pricing, everything in one place. We decided on a destination wedding but had we not, this probably would have been our venue.  Good Luck!

    Thank you ladies. Today was a better day :-). Monday at 1:00 FI and I will be going to Pristine. I pray this is the answer!
