Engagement Party Menu

Woo Hoo!  We are having an engagement party.  I am so excited since it was up in the air.  Now I am trying to get some menu ideas together for the hostess.  We are having spinch pie (spanokapita), stuffed grape leaves, salad, and lasagna.  Of course, a zillion desserts.  I was thinking about adding meatballs and maybe meat/cheese.  Any ideas as to what seems missing from this?Drinks-mimosas, 1 type of beer, red and white wine, soda, waterIt is 1pm on a Sunday for both families and will be Sunday attire (nice slacks, sweaters) if this helps. Thanks!!!

I would do a meat and cheese platter, and then leave rolls out so people can make their own sandwiches.  It's always a safe bet, and if you are doing meatballs, the rolls can double.I also am very partial to spinach dip with brown bread to dip with.  As far as other types of food...I did chicken kebobs and those turned out really well, especially with different dips for them.  Also, Costco has these really good pinwheel rollups with turkey and raspberry spread, and you can get them in platter sizes for a decent price.Definitely do a veggie and fruit platter.  It's the first thing I go for at a party!

My parents made homemade meatballs and sausage and had rolls for everyone to make sandwiches and they were a HUGE hit with our guests.
