Louisiana-New Orleans

Invites

Hey Ladies!I was just wondering if you have any tips on good places to get invites from.  I have very little idea of what I'm looking for specifically, but just looking for some info.  Did most of you get them from somewhere out of a magazine?  Online?  Any particular invitations stores I should check out around New Orleans?  DIY projects?  I don't want to spend too much money but I want them to be pretty... of course ;)  TIA!

I wanted nice invites but I did not want to spend my life savings. I had very good luck with online b/c the invitation stores where I live were outrageous. I got mine from theamericanwedding.com but there is myGatsby.com, paperdivas.com and many more. They will most likely send you samples so you can touch them and they will also help you with your wording just like you are in the store and for a FRACTION of the cost, in my experience. I was so pleased with mine and again amazed at the cost and mine had alot of detail. best of luck to you!

I got my invites from weddingpaperdivas.com.  I love them. They were very inexpensive and a good quality.  I plan on getting my std's from Scriptura on Magazine St but I'll be paying more for them than my invites (boo!).  Scriptura does have a gorgeous selection though and I find the service to be very good.

I found this amazing lady on etsy.com!!!  She does graphic design and rocks.  Just got my final proofs for my Save the Dates yesterday.  Super fast and beyond reasonable prices.  The cool thing about her, is that I was really nervous about online (I know, I am a nerd) and I just wanted to be able to call someone and know the person.  After we made any edits, I had my proof back within 24 hours.  She is doing our STDs, invites, thank you note stationery and favors (chocolate fleur de lis). Email me if you would like to see my Save the Date or her site.  magenhughes at yahoo.com

Sorry- forgot to mention she is from Louisiana and super familiar with the fleur de lis- has over 24 over them for you to choose from.  And if you didn't want to pay shipping, you can pick them up.

We're getting ours from www.exclusivelyweddings.com.But we also looked at www.theamericanwedding.com, www.annsbridalbargains.com, www.invitationsbydawn.com, www.rexcraft.com, and www.myjeanm.com.  I emailed all of them and got free catalogues and samples.

I'm also using GEM. I already go my STD's from them and was very pleased. The staff is extremely knowledgable and friendly. I plan on ordering my invitations from them.

I am also using Gem.  Just purchased the invites this weekend, and found them to be wonderful!  They have lots of affordable options (some are even cheaper than what I've seen online), and everyone is very friendly and helpful!  I would definitely recommend them!

We got ours at Paper + Ink Studio.  Mary customized our invites and coordinated our escort cards, menus, programs, etc.  We LOVED everything and received so many compliments!  She is a former NOLA knottie and will totally work with your budget.  Highly, highly recommend her!  http://paperandinkstudio.com/We also used Scriptura for our STDs and RD invites, and were very happy with everything there, as well.
