Hey everyone, I need some help choosing a photographer. Here's the deal:

My budget is around $5,000 for 11 hours of coverage and albums.
Tony Hoffer and Marc Anthony are unavailable on my date.
Cliff Mautner, Sweetwater Portraits and Jenn Childress are a little out of my price range.
I don't like Sarah Schulte's or Kamila Harris' work.

Sandor Welsh can actually give me everything I want for just under $5,000. What does everyone think about him? It's hard to find lots of reviews, but I found his blog and several people have mentioned him on here.

Any other suggestions? Any help is much appreciated!!!!!

Candid moments photography? I think they would fall into your range as well, and Dougs work is wonderful.

Sandor is very good. Mike Landis is OK too. I'd say with the options you have (and I agree about Kamila too) Sandor is your best bet. Touch decision. Good luck with that.

A friend and former knottie used Sandor and her photos were gorgeous. She was extremely pleased. His work is just beautiful, and unlike some other very good photojournalistic photographers that get recommended here a lot, he has legit photojournalism experience, which is pretty cool. Doug Burns is also a great guy who will fit in budget; he photographed my wedding and I was also pleased as punch.

I'm using Cat and Al from BG productions (www.BGproonline.com). U can get photo and video for ten hours for $4000...they got a Knot award, I think, as well. You may want to check them out.

Try Main Line Photography, their prices seemed pretty reasonable.

Kip Simons from Imagery photography in Germantown is very good, but doesn't do stuff on the web. You have to visit his studio to see photos, and he won't put your photos online, but he does provide unlimited coverage for the day, so no worrying about going "overtime."

Tracy Wood is another person who had slightly lower prices.

We are using Felix Chea (www.felixcheaphotography.com). He works alone, but his prices are amazing for what you get, unlimited time, photo books, video of pics, CD of all proofs. We are getting our engagement pictures done soon and I can't wait to see how they turn out!
