Any ideas?

Hey ladies, I think I'm going to have around 50 guests at my wedding but am looking to do something different with the reception. We want small and simple...maybe just a light dinner/cocktail or something. Any ideas/locations in mind or maybe some nice restaurants? I'm still pretty new to the Tampa area.Thanks in advance!

    Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284

    Just to piggyback on aerin's good advice.  This board is international, so everyone can't help you with specific questions like venues.  (I'm in NJ and have never been to Tampa).  A local Tampa area board can be a better resource.But I will say that one of the very nice weddings that I attended had a small luncheon in a private room at a restaurant after their ceremony.  There was background music and a cake to cut, and some speeches/toasts.  I think everyone really enjoyed themselves!  I know DH and I did.  GL

    Thanks ladies. I actually did post this on my local board but got hardly any responses. The luncheon idea sounds nice, just trying to get some ideas! Thanks again.
