Makeup Artist - recommendations?

Hello again!

I have been on the hunt this past week for a makeup artist for my wedding in Lake George on 9/17. A few of the regularly recommended artists on our local board (Amy Elizabeth, Jennifer McCarthy) sound fantastic, but are already booked for my day. I got a response today from Simplicity Salon in Saratoga with extremely reasonable pricing information, and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with them? I need someone who will travel to LG and work with us in the hotel, so I've been looking in the Lake George/Ballston Spa/Saratoga area.

Any other suggestions are also welcome!

    I used Shana with Spa Studio at Union Square in Glens Falls. She was fantastic and so incredibly nice and accomodating. We had her come to my apartment where we were all getting ready and she did my makeup, my mother's makeup and also my maids makeup. Her pricing is very reasonable. I also really liked the makeup she used, very light and natural looking.

    At the consulatation she showed me a few different options ranging from a very natural look to a more glamorous look and happily told me about the different makeup she was using and how she applied it and why.

    I really can't say enough good things about her and would definitely highly recommend her!  The # is (518) 745-6909 and ask for Shana. If you call let her know the bride she had on 9/11/10 sent you to her.

    They also do massages, mani-pedi's, waxing and hair there too!

    I have heard good things about Make Me Fabulous and Lipstick and Lashes. They are both from Ballston Spa area.

    I had my makeup trial with Joanna from Lipstick and Lashes a few weeks ago, and she was absolutly fabulous!!! and she travels to you for no extra cost, so i HIGHLY reccomend her!

    Thanks, ladies! Apparently I'm WAY behind on this one - both Lipstick N' Lashes and MMF were both completely booked for my wedding day - go figure! SimpliciTy is still available, as is one of the artists from Flawless by Tina... and I will definitely look into Shauna! Please let me know if you have any other ideas!!

    Another place i've heard of that travels is A&Co but they are located in Colonie so IDK how far they travel. Maybe you should do a trial for the simplicity place you originally mentioned and if it goes good then book them.

    My photographer worked with Make Me Fabulous and had wonderful things to say about them as well.
