Any ideas for venues that only require you to guarantee 100 people? This is harder than you think. So far I've only been able to get Olde Mill Inn and the Oakside to allow it.(This is a Sunday night wedding over memorial day weekend.)Any suggestions?
What do you mean, only? You mean your min. is 100? Everywhere I looked was only 100.. since I knew I had less than that. It's negiotiable like anything else. I was a Friday night over Columbus Day Weekend and looked at nearly 20 places in NNJ/Hudson Valley.
Yes, Tides downstairs room during any time peak or not, evening/afternoon is 100 Hawk Pointe Golf Club in Washington, NJ (Warren Co.) has no minimum in their ballroom Usually this is very negotiable
Not sure about Sunday...but Ravello's asks for 125 for Friday night and I believe 150 for Saturday....I think places that tend to do more than one wedding may have 100 as a guarantee...like the Manor has a room that you only need 100, the Fiesta in Wood-ridge, maybe Courtyard on Main....But like I said I am not sure about Sundays....they may be a little more lenient...especially for a holiday weekend.

Hi,We're having our reception at The Tides on a Friday night in the downstairs room. They only made us guarantee them 75 people.... Check it out, they are VERY accomodating and professional. I believe Sunday nights are the same, minimum 75 ppl.
Reception Center at PNC Arts Center. We had the same problem b/c we only wanted 100 people, on a Sat night. PNC is letting us having a Saturday night in June.
There is a place in bernardsville (bernards inn or something like that), Park Ave Club was negotiable on minimums for sundays. the Mansion in Vorhees, and most big hotels have smaller ballrooms that you could probably use. Mayfair farms was very negotiable on price and size. I think Molly Pitcher and Oyster Point have smaller rooms you could use.If you are looking for Memorial Day Weekend 2010 places with the date available only 7 months out will probably be willing to negotiate with you on this.
The Brownstone in Paterson (you can see my reviews; a few brides have loved it recently as I did, others don't!) has two beautiful, smaller rooms (one being all glass, the "conservatory") for weddings @125 or under. We guranteed 80.
At the Sterling Ballroom at the Holiday Inn of Tinton Falls minimun guarantee for Sundays in the bigger ballroom is 100 and for Sundays in the smaller ballroom its only 50. All the Hotels Unlimited ballrooms are the same. There are two in toms river, one in freehold and one in east windsor. The Rosewood has a room where you only have to guarantee 100 people and I believe Vanity Fare in Lakewood only has a 100 minimun guarantee for a Sunday.
