I just heard about this flower market. I was thinking of buying bulk roses for my engagement party or another type of cheap flowers. Does anyone know how the pricing is for rose bunches? Thanks!!!

    I don't know specifically about the prices or if they would sell direct, although they might.  You might just want to call a few places to check before running all the way into the city.  Our florist actually has a studio right in that area and she was SUPER affordable, if you need her info she may be able to help you out with this.

    I'm getting married in New Rochelle July 2011, and am having problems finding a florist thats affordable (especially since i am from canada and still live here!)

    I've been there - the thing is you might get good prices but they can be older and have to be used right away.  There are ups and downs to it I know.

    i think that it is definitely not easy is you don't know what you are doing. For example, knowing how to take care of each bloom. Some need all the stems cut and leaves stripped, some need to be put in warm water to help them bloom , etc.

    With that being said...if you're thinking roses GO FOR IT!! Roses are a no-brainer and totally easy! Super hardy and last for a few days.

    you could always do floating candle centerpieces if you don't want to worry about the roses. they always look nice for engagement parties etc
