Reception? & those $250 gift certficate

So, this coming week I will seal the deal with the ceremony being at Disney World with 18 of our closest friends and family. We are going to have our reception in OKC! It will be fairly big! I want to do it in OKC because I'm HUGE advocate on NOT DRIVING DRUNK. A majority of the guests will be our friends from college, and this being said I want hotels very close!! ANY IDEAS OR SUGGESTIONS ON A PLACE? I'm thinking about getting one of those $250 for $500 gift certificates...hmm...have any of you done it?

    Are you wanting to have a really formal reception or something fun and casual?  My FI and I are getting married in Las Vegas.  I am having my reception of approximately 200 people at the Riverwind Casino.  They have 2 private rooms upstairs.  It is like renting out your own lounge and was really inexpensive when compared to other places I looked.  They also have inexpensive catering that you can use.  It just kinda depends if you are wanting a traditional reception or not!  Good luck!

    Oh, and I forgot to mention that the Riverwind has a hotel attached to it, so you just have to walk through the casino to go to your room!  They got us a group discounted rate.

    i bought the gift cerrtificate to flowers by pat. we're having our reception at 50 penn place on the third floor. tons of room, and it was only $690. they have a really good, reasonably priced caterer. for 150 people, our food bill is going to be just over 2,000. plenty of hotels as well.
