Georgia nose picker

Re: Georgia nose picker

  • Indeed I did!! However, I was not with my husband, but with my mom, sister, and the toddler she babysits, so we did the quick version since a 2 year old's attention span is slightly longer than a cat's. I'm hoping to talk B into going back this weekend, so we can go through the entire thing. They have these riddles set up all throughout called "CORNundrums" (corny), and if you solve them all you get a prize (which I'm sure is a free ice cream or something), and I solved all the ones we passed, but we only passed three and there are 15. Note: the girl at the entrance called them "Corndrums". She really passed the maze training with flying colors, I'm sure. Did you get to go to your maize maze?
  • Cornundrums- ha!Corndrums - boo. We're going on Nov 15th. Yes, my dad plans these things that far in advance.I am already dreaming about the funnel cake. Nom nom nom.

  • Our corn maze is at a peach processing plant/orchard, so I had peach cobbler while everyone else was eating peach ice cream. I would have also gotten a bag of spiced pecans, but we left before we could make it into the gift shop. I will have my spiced nuts if I can get my husband to go. Although we may be busy, since we went to the movies Saturday night and we had to leave in the middle of the movie, because I had the most upset stomach of my life. Not to get too TMI, but I have never had a worse night in the bathroom. So I owe him a movie. Maybe I can make it a movie/corn maze double header!
  • Funnel cake is the most wonderful thing ever.
  • Your corn maze WOULD be at a peach orchard. I'm surprised our corn maze down here isn't in an orange grove. What movie did you have to leave? A corn maze and movie date sounds like a lot of fun.

  • Darn skippy, cew.

  • We were watching Couples Retreat. We even went all the way to Macon, which is about half an hour past Warner Robins, where our nearest theater is located. We were having a "real" date. So I feel extra bad. He drove about 80 miles an hour to get me home. If we go this weekend, we'll probably do matinee; maybe that will cut down on some teenagers. There was a group of seven teens in our theater with one mom, and she was not in control at all. Everybody was giving them dirty looks because they were being so loud. I think I'll just spring it on him when he wakes up Saturday. "Good morning, go get dressed, we're going to maze & a movie!!"
  • I think I'll just spring it on him when he wakes up Saturday. "Good morning, go get dressed, we're going to maze & a movie!!"Ambush date! I like your style. We only go to matinees due to crowds and it is also a teensy bit cheaper :)How was Couples Retreat, what you saw at least?

  • I would go to matinees all the time, but usually we don't decide we're going to the movies until the last minute, and that's usually at about 8:00. What we saw of Couples Retreat was pretty good; it seemed like the quintessential Vince Vaughn funny movie- it seemed like he was his old ad-libbing self. We think we left right when it was getting to the really good stuff. My husband loves funny movies, so I definitely want to finish watching it.
  • I also like my movies to be funny. And Vince Vaughn is good for a lot of laughs. I might have to go see this movie, oh wait it's Halloween, that probably won't happen. Shucks.

  • Why don't you watch movies on Halloween? That's another reason we'll be matineeing it. I'm planning on having trick-or-treaters, and I'll be ready at like 4:00 just in case. They make trick-or-treating start earlier and earlier!!
  • ha! That sounds funny. I didn't mean we can't watch movies on Halloween. Although it would be great if I came up with some ridiculous reason about why I am against watching movies on Halloween. But my imagination isn't on this morning. We'll be too busy running around so I would make plans to go see a movie but it most likely won't happen then I will be sad panda. Saturday we'll visit my dad and my grandmother during the day and at night we'll stay home to give out candy. Then Sunday we'll go to Church and then to my FI's grandmother's house and then my mom's house for dinner. And this isn't even Thanksgiving!

  • Oh and you're right about trick-or-treaters coming earlier and earlier. That reminds me I have to buy candy...I also just remembered the time change is this weekend. Yay for another hour of sleep!

  • I didn't figure you were against Halloween movie viewing, per se, but I was still cornfused (see what I did there?). Sounds like you'll have quite the busy weekend! That's one of the reasons I'm trying to make the next month go by as slowly as possible; between Thanksgiving and Christmas, I'll see my family about a million times, and I'LL be the one driving everywhere. Ugh. I need to buy candy too. I'm waiting until Friday because if I buy it any sooner, it'll get eaten before the kids show up. Hopefully there'll be some good stuff left, AND hopefully it'll be on sale! That's the plan, anyway.
  • Your humor is amaizeing! (get it?!)And ditto about buying candy last minute. Better stop talking about it or I will make the mistake of going to Publix at lunch.

  • Haha. I know, the only reason I'm not that tempted is because I had to park about a mile away this morning, and nothing is worth making that walk until it's entirely necessary.
