MOB, MOG dress colors?

If my bridesmaids are wearing black what color should the MOB and MOG dresses be? My colors are red,white, and black. I dont mind if they wear black but would it look funny?? thanks for your help!

    my bm dresses were cream and black (picture a nude dress with a black lace overlay) and i asked the mothers to wear black. because i thought with the dresses and tuxes black would look really good. my MIL ended up buying a dark brown dress, which still looked fine in pictures. obviously you dont want them to wear white and if they wear red they will stand out in the pictures. so i say black is appropriate.

    They should wear whatever they feel good in.  (Well, I am opposed to any guests in white, but otherwise... ) My mom and stepmom wore pink and MIL wore black with a pattern. Black and pink were my colors, but I didn't tell them what color to wear.

    I let my mom and MIL decide what color to wear. My BMs were in red, and my mom wore a navy dress and my MIL had a champagne colored dress. I didn't care what color they wore as long as it wasn't white. When my SIL got married she insisted that both sets of parents wear brown or pink to match the bridal party in the pictures. I think there was only 1 picture of everyone that day and I know DH's parents weren't happy about the color restrictions at all.

    I don't think black would look bad.  You could do some red or white accessories also, just a thought. I think that my goal is to have my mom and FMIL look great and be comfortable.  I don't personally care if they match my wedding colors.
