What to put in punch cups for favor?

I am having a vintage glam wedding- pearls, rhinestones, drama - and I got some cut glass punch glasses from the local GoodWill for .25 to .50 ea. I want to fill them with something, then I'll wrap them in some type of material in keeping with the vintage look. I'm just not sure what to fill them with...any ideas that would fit with our theme? I was thinking maybe of getting some old time chocolates or maybe some rock candy. Or I could do something with color - my two colors (besides white) are cherry red and burnt orange.  Thanks!

  • It's hard to go wrong with chocolate.
  • Anything edible ... chocolate is great!  You could do custom M&M's in your colors (they would be retro, not sure if they'd qualify as vintage).
  • I saw Boston Baked Beans you can buy in bulk or French Burnt Peanuts (I think they may be the same thing). Both would add some color. Or I could do chocolate and tie it with a colored ribbon. I'm only having very subtle color at my wedding - mainly white with touches of color. Right now I'm leaning toward chocolate drop nonpareils which look nice, you can buy in bulk.

  • That would be lovely.  I think you can bulk-buy chocolate-chip-shaped melt-away mints (that have nonpareils on the bottom, like the chocolate) in white or colors if you wanted to mix those in.
  • oooh - really - I LOVE mint meltaways!
