Good, affordable band recommendations

We are having an evening affair in the DC area and are looking for a good band that is less than $3000. Does anyone have any suggestions?

    We are looking for an 80s band and Sam Hill sent me these acts that are $2500-3500.
    Judo Chop
    The Plaids
    Radio Cult

    I have heard Judo Chop and they're good! I've found that if you know a band you like (like that you've heard in a local bar or something) if you contact them directly they will give you a reasonable rate. The Reflex is who I would LOVE to get but theyr'e $5k (all inclusive though). Good luck and hope this helps!
