Is it that big of a deal?

Before I got my dress I bought a ring bearer pillow and ceremony programs because I got a great deal. I was positive my dress would be white, so I bought a white pillow and white programs. Well guess what, my dress is ivory. Now, I know that you're not "supposed" to have anything whiter than the brides dress, but does this stuff count? We're getting married in less than three weeks and so I'll need to get new stuff if its decided I can't do white. I figured, hey, its a pillow thats going to be in action for all but 10 minutes and programs people will throw away, so what does it matter?

My DD's dress was ivory. If you asked her guest 99.9% of them would have said her dress was white. (The .1% might have been her friend who was planning her own wedding.)

You're way overthinking this. If eople are fixated on the fact that your RB pillow is white and your dress is ivory, then your ceremony has much bigger issues than a pillow a little boy carries, or the programs they're reading.

The silly wedding industry does their very best to make brides think that such things are absolutely critical to the success of their wedding, and they just aren't.

I'm wearing Ivory my FG are wearing white. For two reasons, someone gave my FSIL a white FG dress the younger one can wear and the older one will have her First Holy Communion within a year of the wedding so her dress is doing double duty. Since my FSIL has 2 FG and a RB to outfit I'd rather make it as cost effective for her as possible than worry about a shade of color.

No one is going to notice/care about the pillow and program. And if they do that is seriously their issue not yours.

...Seriously? No one will ever care about any of this. It's almost laughable. Your wedding day will be beautiful, I promise. If this is the biggest of your dilemmas, be thankful.

No it is not a big deal! No one is going to be comparing the shade of your program/pillow to the shade of your dress. I say keep them and don't worry about it! If they really care that much tell them to get a hobby!

The only way it will matter is pictures. As my dress is Diamond White and I have been told the colors will matter only in pictures as an ivory dress will appear to have been washed in rusty water next to a white shirt, etc. If those items aren't in pictures then it won't matter at all.

The wedding industry makes us think if everything doesn't match perfectly our wedding will look stupid. NO ONE will notice.

No one will even notice. If someone does, they really have a keen eye for observing. Just let them know, if they mention it, that your starting a new tradition

No one will notice, or really even be able to tell.

Although you normally can't even tell in the pictures, if it does come up that you can tell, your photographer can edit it to match if there's anything where it is standing out.

I did the same thing, I bought DIY invitations, a guestbook and a cardbox that are all white before I bought my dress becuase they were all such a great price. I ended up getting an ivory dress. It's not that big of a deal, I doubt anyone is going to really notice that they're not all matching. Don't worry, everything will work out just fine.

It's one tiny pillow. You may have 1-2 pictures with just you and the RB? Other than that group photos he will probably be farther away from you, or even forget the thing. And you wont have pictures with yourself and the program.
