loft rental

hello allI've posted before but left for awhile to concentrate on school but I really need some help in finding a unique venue. I'm getting married aug 6, 2010 and we are looking for unique venue ideas.  Does anyone know of open space rentals such as lofts?thanks

    The top floor of one of the buildings at the American Visionary Art Museum is a very open, loft-like space with wood floors and brick walls. It's beautiful, but has a significant rental fee. I think you might actually get that whole building with the fee and can use the first floor too, but that has exhibits in it and some of that stuff is really funky.Camden Yards also has a nice event space in the warehouse, but it's much more intimate and rustic feeling. Their low ceilings were a deal-breaker for me.

    You might like the Museum of Industry...it is unexpected. Feels like an old warehouse (maybe was one?) and is pretty open. But lots of color/neon lights, etc. in there too.

    How big is your wedding?  Frederick-Myers Maritime Museum & Park, by the Living Classrooms Foundation, in Fells Point is awesome.  Marsha Jews is the contact there.  Some people said they have a hard time getting a hold of her, but I got in touch with her and had an appointment within 48 hours.

    I got married at the Hippodrome Theater in Baltimore.  They have alot of different spaces for different sizes and you can get married on the stage in the theater (for the right price!).  We loved it!

    did you end up using the Fredrick-Douglas Maritime Museum for your wedding? i have an appointment in December to check it out.
