Has anyone ever purchased from this website?  I really, really want these shoes to go with my dress.  I want them in red but they are $775 at nieman marcus and I really don't want to pay that much.  I could settle for the silver ones at $159.90 but I don't know if I should trust the site.  Thanks for your opinions in advance!

• NEVER buy Louboutin shoes from any other website except his unless its from a store that sells his shoes. Below is his only official website, any others are assumed to be fake. $775. is a great pricefor his shoes, I have several pair. I only purchase from Neimans, his website, or the store that carries them in my hometown. It's your wedding day, splurge on yourself. ;) Christian Louboutin official web site. Luxury french shoe and bag designer.
• I agree with PP- those are definitely FAKE louboutin's ( they are all over the place these days) . I think you're better off spending $159 on a quality shoe you can try on ( badgley mischka makes some gorgeous dyable wedding shoes in that price point) than take a gamble on shoes made from China that will probably be very uncomfortable and fall apart.
• $775 a "great price"?  For SHOES?  That's practically a mortgage payment.  Good lord
• It's your wedding day, splurge on yourself. ;)FFS people, stop giving strangers advice on what to do with their money when you have absolutely no clue what their situation is!

• I purchased Manolo's from run-way-heels dot com and they certainly look real and cost about 1/8th of the original price. They are the ones Carrie wears in the Sex in the City movie!!! We paid with pay pal and there was a return policy through the site we used. The shoes came from China. We think that they may be seconds. There is a tiny pull in the satin on the heel, but if you can only tell if you look real close. I am super stoked about my shoes! This site does of the red ones, that you are look for, listed for $148.00 and the shipping is free. If you go this route let me know how it works out for you. Good luck!!!
• Thank you all for your input.  I have already splurged on my carolina herrera dress, unfortunately I can't afford another splurge on my shoes.  I have never owned a pair of louboutin's before so I don't know their price range.  I LOVE these shoes but $775 is out of the question and I agree with one of the previous posters that at that price you could almost pay your mortagage!  Thanks for all of the suggestions you have offered me!  Oh and thanks for the run-way-heels.com website, I think I'll look into them.  :)

• I'm with everyone else...don't purchase Louboutins from anywhere but their boutiques, website or Neimans. Louboutins are the most comfortable heel I have ever worn...I wouldn't risk buying a knock off and being in pain on my wedding day! If you don't have the money for them, I would definitely look into a quality name shoe (Nina makes comfy ones that are super cute), rather than a pair of knockoffs.
• $775?!?!  For shoes?!?!  Holy eff! LOL

• When strangers ask for advice on a public board, they know to expect a myriad of opinions, voices, and options. It is up to that person to take or leave the advice given. The only policing of this board should be from TheKnot staff. Furthermore, when asking about Christian Louboutin shoes, one knows the cost and should take into consideration their own financial circumstances. I don't believe any stranger has the power to make anyone on this board spend what they don't have. We, as Knotties, are far more intelligent than that.
• they are definitely knock offs, and i've seen a pair of the red ones that were purchased from the site and they aren't a great quality knock off at all - a friend of mine (who is obsessed with louboutins and owns quite a few pairs of the real thing) ordered them (she was writing a newspaper article about designer knock offs) and compared them to the real thing, and the difference was pretty clear - the genuine louboutins are totally red all over - the knock offs have a lot of pink mixed in with the red - plus, the knock offs were just a poor quality shoe and extremely uncomfortable - the site is also sketchy as hell - they ship from china and have a pretty sketchy return policy (at the time my friend purchased them, the policy was "absolutely NO returns" - not sure what it is now) and that alone would turn me off from buying a product from them. that being said, to someone who doesn't know what they are looking at, and doesn't have the genuine article to compare it to, the differences might be hard to spot - and if you've never had the "real thing" on your foot, you wouldnt notice the difference in comfort level (id never had a pair on my feet until my friend forced me to "feel the difference") if you don't care about the brand, and simply like the look of the shoe (and honestly, the knock offs were still cute and eye catching!) then they might be a deal to consider, but i do think you could find something more affordable and very similar that is probably much more comfortable! they are really, really cute though, and if i can find something similar in pink, ill probably buy them for my own wedding!
•
The only policing of this board should be from TheKnot staff.
No one is "policing" the boards.  When posting on a public message board, expect a myriad of responses.  Just because you don't like the responses doesn't mean they are "policed"
• ps - you hardly "put me in my place"
• i cannot for the life of me understand why anyone would spend even $1 on fakes... get over the label facination if you cannot afford it and just get shoes/accessories/whatever you CAN afford.
• I love the reversed snobbery. If she had said that she shouldn’t spend $700+ on a pair of shoes no one would have batted an eye.
