A lovely day, isn't it?

Hope all you lovely knotties have a good day ahead of you.  For those of you who weren't at the GTG @ The Melting Pot last night, we missed you!  Remember, all are welcome at our GTG's- we love to see new faces!  I promise we don't bite...well, except for when I get a little territorial over my little piece of heaven in the form of oreo/marshmellow/chocolate fondue ;)  LOL j/k!For me, I am headed to another injection today...have to be there at 10, injection at 11.  I really am hoping my doc is on time with everything today- as awesome as she is, she has a habit in the OR of running over with her cases, and there have been days I end up being 1.5 hours behind my scheduled time.  Which doesn't seem like a big deal, except for I have to fast after midnight, so anything longer than I am expecting, and my hunger totally kicks in (it's not like a regular injection like you would think of- it involves an hour procedure, xrays, 3 1-foot long needles, and drugs being injected into my spinal nerves...not fun, that's for sure, but I always make sure it's a party in the room when I'm there!).  I can't wait for afterwards though- we always go to Chick-fil-a for food.  I love Chick-Fil-A!!!!!!!Anyone have any plans for today?  Coming up?  How about Halloween...what's everyone doing/being??

GL today Brit! I hope everything goes according to schedule... I know what you mean w/ the no food & late procedures. Last year my surgery went about 2-3 hours late, and my blood suger was dropping terribly - I felt horrible. Horrible feeling. Todays plans are blah.... Pay bills and ship a gift, job hunt, clean, cook dinner, and work on my married bio. Halloween - we are going to a race for Tony... Laving early Sat, stopping at his grandparents, then the event is in NJ. Party a little Sat night, Sunday is their race, so I just go be a pit crew... Hopefully it wont be raining - Ill be mis if I have to be out in the rain all weekend :(

Hey there Brit!  Hope all is going well for you today.  I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers for a pain free injection today. Today i'm at work.  I brought my wedding video and laptop in to show my coworkers.  I'm getting my thank you cards in order (of course, i forgot the actual thank you cards, but brought everything else).  To make it easy, I printed out my guest list, and wrote down next to everyone's name what we received.  Of course, some gifts are still at my parent's house.  I'll get them this weekend.Tonight, DH and I are going to PetSmart to get some cat food and a present for my oldest cat, Callie.  She turns 10 on Saturday.  I always get her a toy or a treat.  Then we are going to the place I dread the most...Babies-R-Us.  I don't know why, but I truly despise that store.  I usually call up, tell them what I want, and ask them to hold it at the counter for me to pick up.  But, since this is for my SIL and my first niece, I feel like I have to look around so I purchase the most perfect gift.  Well, last time we were in there, DH and I did pick out what we would like when it comes time to have a family.  Then I might go to Cannon's Supply Store to pick up some chocolate molds and melting chocolates to make candies for the baby shower on the 14th of November.  I'm in charge of the favors and I found the most cutest favor online.  It should arrive today.  It's a 2 tier favor "cake".  The "slices of cake" are actually triangle shaped boxes to put candies in.  TOO CUTE!  http://www.beau-coup.com/baby-shower-favor-cake-kit.htmDH and I don't have any plans this weekend.  We are not giving candy out and we are not going to any parties. On a good note,  my videographer asked DH and I to tape a testimonial for his website.  He liked working with us so much and he likes to put 2-3 couples that he worked with over the past year on his website for other couples to see how we liked his services.  And no, we don't get any kickbacks for it.

Well I was going to be at our Main Street office today, but because my 1 co-worker (Coworker A) is out for the week & it is the end of the month they need the help at the main office - AGAIN! :P I am missing my quiet Wednesdays. So this also messes up my plans of going home for lunch so I am at a loss of what I am doing. I feel bad for buying again, but at least it wasn't planned. Maybe I can run away for soup salad and breasticks. LOL. Well anything warm!!!In reasons why I want to escape:Coworker B has an attitude today. Coworker A has had a cough for a few days and both A & B have been LOVING the drama of "swine flu" of "OMG I am going to die without the shot" "I can't breathe I am scared of getting it" etc (while laughing the entire time) and Coworker A having a cough just kicked this all up a notch. Are they getting FACTS about H1N1 from credible sights such as the CDC? NO! They are going to GOSSIP MAGAZINES! UGH!!!! Anyway because Coworker A is 35 weeks pregnant she rightfully made a doc appointment. Well they classified her with "H1N1 like symptoms" and sent off a culture. This threw coworker B into a Dramafest! So I had enough of CoWorker B and told her if she is that concerned to go to the ER and stop hanging here working (ie if you do have it dont spread it). Heck the bosses offered to pay for the visit for her since they don't offer health insurance! I told her over and over that they are culturing as a PRECAUTION (CYA as always with medical professionals). Well surprise surprise coworker A's culture came back NEGATIVE! Well now Coworker B is pissed because everyone told her yesterday to take a freaking chill pill. My God she was equating ringing in her ears to "must be a symptom". GAH! Don't get me wrong - I'm happy coworker A is healthy overall and it is nothing more than a cough, but my goodness can people take a step back and look at themselves?! If you don't educate yourself, yes you will look like an idiot and people are going to call you on it. Bleh.Sorry about the vent.
