Engagement Session - HELP NEEDED!

We're having our engagement session this weekend (Saturday) downtown. Our original plan was to have pictures taken around the monuments (Lincoln, Jefferson) and down around the C&O Canal in G'town. So I submitted for permits and $150 later it's supposed to rain Saturday. I called to see if I could add a rain date to the permits and the woman that approves permits was out of the office, so I'm out of luck. Does anyone have any ideas of good sheltered or indoor venues we could go to? The permits have a strict "no inside the monument" policy - so no luck there either.Thank you guys so much!! Keep your fingers crossed we get a break in the weather tomorrow (not only for me but for everyone getting married tomorrow!!)! We're still going to try to do some monument pics - they'll just be rainy... I feel like we should re-schedule but the stupid $150 permit fee is killing me! I don't want to waste it or apply for more permits!

I haven't checked the weather tomorrow nor do I know any places in DC, BUT www.weatherchannel.com has actual hour by hour predictions which are usually pretty accurate. We did our e-pics on a really rainy nasty day and only didn't reschedule mid-day when I talked to the photog cause weather channel told me it was gonna stop raining and be partly cloudy around 5...our appointment was at 6 it was a little chilly but the sky was gorgeous after the rain and you can't even tell it was a nasty, miserable day out!

We're having our e-session this Friday morning at the same sites you mentioned (Jefferson & Lincoln Memorials). I was told by our photographer that you only need a permit if you're having wedding photos taken. Otherwise, it's not necessary unless your protographer is going to have lighting and all that paraphenalia.Have you thought about doing inside any of the Smithsonian museums? I'm not sure about permits being required there, but I always thought it would be cool to have shots with dinosaurs, sculptures and/or paintings in background. So many to choose.

Thanks everyone for the great suggestions! My FI called on Monday to see if we could change the date on the permits and they were fine with it. Just for future reference.Thank you!!
