Do you know the deal with getting a marriage license for us since we're in NC?We both still have FL drivers licenses...I don't know if that makes a difference or not.

    Hey Sara, I'm jumping in b/c I'm in your shoes. I have a FL license and we live in NY, getting married right next to you :)We do have to get a marriage license in Florida (all of us) - you, me, Joanne

    Danielle told me that she went in Miami and had her license within a few hours. What I'm doing is going over 2 days before and we're taking care of it then

    Ok, so what do I have to do....where do I have to go....what do I have to bring? lolOH....when are you going on our cruise?!?!?! Maybe we're going on the same one!!!!

    Um, what I know so far is that you should print the application in advance and have all forms filled out. We plan on going to the Coral Gables court house and turning in our paperwork there along with SS card and other forms of ID as required.  You sign up and get your license there. I think it takes maybe 3 hours, especially if you go during the day when others are at work.Cruise! Well, you guys are getting married in December, right? We're getting married in April so our cruise is April 11th

    Oh boo! Our cruise is March 7th (Ben's spring break). I'll have to let you know how everything went and what shore excursions we picked. I'm so excited because Ben's GM is going to medical school in Dominica so we'll get to see him there.

    All I know and I hope I'm right, is that I can't do anything until FI is with me. I'm flying in the 16th and I don't know when he's driving down. Probably that weekend. We have NC licenses but that does not matter. So we're literally going to get ours a week before the wedding.

    Oh good! Well let me know if that changes! I'm more than happy to do it and I promise not to let the dog get near it. We've driven home a few times. It literally takes ALL DAY! We're driving home for Thanksgiving in a few weeks.

    That's the reason I haven't gotten a dog because of the hassles of traveling.FI and I will be driving back to NC after our HM in Jan. When do you guys plan on driving back?

    butting in, Sara-how does your FI's GM like Dominica? We thought of there b-4 settling in St. Maarten, we wanted it to be a bit more Americanized lol.
