Invite Timetable

How far in advance are you sending out your invitations?  We have mostly out of town guests and the hotel block cut off is one month prior to the wedding.  Should I send it out two months in advance, which gives people a month to book a room if they're going to?  Everyone did receive a STD with the hotel info on our website, but I want to still give them enough time to book and a reminder with the invitation.

I sent mine out about 2.5 months prior to the wedding but we did not do STD's and many of our guests were traveling from Canada.

I plan on sending ours 2 months prior...our hotel block cut off is 3 weeks prior to the wedding, so that will give people at least 5 weeks to reserve a room with our special rate if they want to.

We sent our's out 2.5 months early, nearly everyone was out of town and they were given STD's but no one booked until after the invites were out.

We sent ours out 9 weeks prior, but almost everyone was local, we only had 3 people coming in from out of state, but they had all the info for hotels by phone.

Since many of your guests are OOT, I'd totally recommend at least 2 1/2 months ahead of time :)

I had been thinking 8 weeks, but I think you're all right that a little earlier is probably better.  I'm going to send them out 10 weeks prior so that people have 5-6 weeks to make their reservations.  Thanks for your help!
