Vendor Reviews

Hi! I enjoy reading this board and wanted to share my vendor reviews:Photographer: Pasion Photography http://www.pasionphotography.com/Grade A+This is a husband, wife team of photographers. We really enjoyed working with them. They were willing to change their package to work with our budget. The photos are absolutely beautiful and we got some very unique photos as well.DJ: Party Pam, Pam's Productions DJshttp://www.partypam.com/Grade: A+We loved working with Pam! She is very professional, making us feel very comfortable with her skills before the wedding. Most importantly, she was a really fun and unique addition to our wedding! Pam has an 80's vibe that everyone loved! But she plays whatever music you request and tailors the songs based on the guests response. We had more guests dancing than I have seen at most weddings, and everyone was disappointed when she had to pack up at the end of the wedding (our venue closed at 10pm).Flowers: San Diego Wholesale flowershttp://www.sandiegowholesaleflowers.com/?gclid=CNuAvNm6g5wCFRwDagodeFFc-wGrade: A+We purchased our flowers from San Diego wholesale flowers, picked them up and arranged them ourselves. I used lilys, calalilys, mini calalilys, white roses and white daisys for my bouquets, corsages and boutineers, and also used sunflowers to decorate our wedding arch. I used yellow daisys for the table decorations. All the flowers were gorgeous, and perfectly fresh. It did take up a lot of room in the car, so I would recommend delivery if you order a lot of flowers. The only disappointment was that only one of the 10 lily stems was open. I used that one in my bouquet.Cake: Cupcakes SquaredGrade A+Having cupcakes instead of a cake was a great way to save money. We ordered one cupcake for each guest. They are large and square and really beautiful. You get a free cutting cake with your order. We had four different flavors; almond, strawberry, chocolate raspberry and coconut. The coconut was made especially for us because their actual flavor is coconut-lime, but we don't like lime, but we did not have to pay extra for this. All our guests loved the cupcakes, especially the almond. We decorated the cupcakes ourselves with chocolate and white chocolate seashells, which tied them into our beach theme.Location, Catering, etc.Grade: A+Our wedding and reception took place at the Martin Johnson House in La Jolla. It is owned by SIO and UCSD and overlooks the Scripps Pier on La Jolla Shores. This was a wonderful place to get married! We used UCSD catering for our food, bartender, servers and to arrange the tables, linens, china, etc. This was a great decision, as it was convenient and we didn't have to worry about anything. Everyone loved the food and it all went very smoothly.Overall, our wedding was perfect and we couldn't have been happier with all of our vendors.
