Dr. Jazz & Officiants

Hi Nola Brides!  I am wondering if anyone has used Dr. Jazz? We are thinking of having them as our wedding band and I just wanted to hear any feedback.  We are also trying to find an officiant.  We were both raised Catholic, but are having our ceremony outside. We would like to write our own vows and we really want to find someone special. We would like more of a Justice of the Peace or a non-denominational type. Someone inspiring that will work with us.Thank you so much for any suggestions!xoxo

I recommend John Zimmer for an officiant- he has been really great so far- very, very easy going, and basically will do whatever YOU want to do. He was a catholic priest, but is completely open to anything you'd want to do. Dr. Jazz was on our list of possible bands at one point- from everything I have heard, they are very good. I also found their prices to be very reasonable. From what I understand, they have been around for quite awhile, so they're obviously doing something right!

John Zimmer is great!  He's marrying us in a few weeks!  Highly recommend him- he'll let you personalize the ceremony and do whatever you want.  He's been really easy to work with and from what I hear, he does beautiful ceremonies.

I am using Dr. Jazz for our ceremony music. They have been great to work with so far. They sent me a CD with their songs, and the reception type song were very good.I am also trying to find an officiant. Everyone on this board has reccommended John Zimmerman. I suggest that you contact him sooner rather than later. I contacted him and he was booked for our wedding in April. I am now having a bit of trouble finding someone else.

Our destination "NOLA" wedding in in 3 weeks, and we've booked both Dr. Jazz and Rev. John Zimmer.  I'll let you know how all goes after ov. 2oth.  So far, Dr. Steele from Dr. Jazz has been wonderful, accomodating my unusual ceremony musical requests and the prices are VERY reasonable. For 2-3 hours of music and a second line band they are only charging me $950.  I have spoke to Rev. Zimmer twice and he sounds like a very nice guy.  Talked to me on the phone for over an hour and asked lots of questions. He also came highly recommended by my coordinator, photographer and reception venue catering manager.Good luck with everything.
