I was at KFC on Sunday night...there's this woman around our town who is clearly on social assistance, etc - she's not homeless, but she's hungry, etc.She has a bit of a reputation of picking 1/2 smoked cigarettes out of the ashtrays outside and selling them to the classy people in town for a quarter or whatever.She walked up to me in KFC last night and offered me 4 for a toonie. I declined, and went about my business...she approached me a few more times, and then I offered to buy her a meal. he spit on my shoe and cussed me out. I was MAD.

She left in a huff after that...but I've seen her there, and other places before, no one ever asks her to leave, even though her presence is beyond un-appetizing. Yes, that's shallow of me to say. A toonie is a $2 coin here in Canadua.

I probably would have been rude had she approached me several more times. My husband and I were stopped in the Walmart parking lot by two women asking for money to get home to Florida; neither one of us carry cash, so we honestly told them we didn't have any money, and they kept on with, "Well, do you even have any change..." No, ladies, we don't. We told you we didn't, so move on.
