NWR: My weekend

I thought I would come on here and share how my weekend went...On Friday I was suppose to have my first dress fitting but I got a call that my mom was very dizzy & sick, and couldn't drive so I needed to come pick her up. I picked her up and she was really sick so then I took her to the doctor, they don't really know what the problem was because dizziness is a symptom of so many different things. So, no dress fitting - which is fine, my moms health is way more important. She is feeling better now, but I still have to take her to have a blood test today.Friday late afternoon/evening I moved most of my clothes to our new house, and we moved a bunch of FI's stuff as well.Saturday was move-in day. It was a long, tiring day. Well worth it though!Sunday was spent doing a lot of organizing and little things, we were suppose to have dinner with my parents, around 5:30 I get a call from my mom saying she is at Urgent Care with my dad because he had an allergic reaction to something (they aren't sure exactly what). I guess his face was swollen, his breathing was labored, and he was covered in hives. :( He seems fine now, but it's pretty scary because he doesn't know what triggered it. He thinks it's from ants biting him on his feet, because he was working outside barefoot. Then when my parents were leaving the pharmacy (my dad got a prescription to relieve itching), my moms battery died in her car... so... yeah, weird.I'm hoping for a much easier-going week this week! :)I just had to share because it's like... the weirdest weekend. Just one thing after another, lol.

Re: NWR: My weekend

  • Wow, talk about an action packed weekend! Hope things settle down a little for ya  :)
  • That's a lot to happen in one weekend.  At least you have a good attitude about it.  Here's to a better week ahead!
  • Wow that is an intense weekend Sarah. I hope things calm down for you. Are your Mom and Dad ok?
  • Melissa - my mom seems to be back in good working order. My dad is still a little swollen around his mouth, but his hives are 100% gone. Thanks for asking :) I am getting to that age where you realize your parents are not invincible, and with the two of them pulling these shenanigans this weekend... they are stressing me out! lol. I know it's not their fault, and I was being sarcastic, but you know what I mean... I definitely worry about them more.
  • That is a weird weekend, hope you have a better week and weekend coming up.I'm glad that they're ok.
