As some of you have previously read, my future MIL doesnt agree with a lot of things about the wedding, mainly my choice to get my dress made. My dress is going to be finished in January. I am doing a ankle length vintage inspired gown with lace and tulle. My MIL has me kind of overanalyzing and freaking out that I am going to hate my dress. Its only costing me 300.00 so she thinks its going to be terrible. I have a few backups in mind just in case I hate it, but will I be able to order a dress in 6 months time?

    You are not going to hate it.  it will be gorgeous, and then you can tell your FMIL, "haha! told you so!"  or not. You can totally get it in 6 months. Or, make some tweaks to the dress you're having made.  You'll have 6 months to make changes to that dress and get exactly what you want and it will fit perfectly.  I think you really can't go wrong at this point.  :)  Good luck!

    Don't let her get to you! Your dress is going to be AWESOME. And you can always get it altered if there is a detail you would like to change.And yes, there is plenty of time to order in 6 months... or go to sample sales a mere 6 weeks before like I did (silly me).

    You can totally get a dress in six months. I ordered my dress at the end of May/early June and it was here at the beginning of September. I hope your original plan works out so you can be the one saying "i told you so". =)
