Luxury All-Inclusive/Under 100 Room Recommendations?

Hello ladies!I've been searching for the perfect "out of this world" honeymoon since before I got engaged.  We wanted an adult-only (or very few families) boutique (under 100 rooms) hotel that was either all-inclusive or could fit our budget. We look at our honeymoon as the "trip of a lifetime".Our budget is $10,000 and we were hoping to go for 10 nights.Beach is a must and romance is key.  Any recommendations?I've looked into Zoetry Resorts, Las Ventanas (our of our range), Jade Mountain (also a little out of our range), some resorts in the Maldives.I think we want everything that a Secrets/Dreams/Couples/Sandals has to offer with simply less people and more attention.Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. We are going in May 2010!!!!

  • Have you thought about St. Barth?  All of the hotels are small boutique properties and with May being the low season you could easily do it for 10k.  The properties on the beach are Isle de France, Eden Rock and Guanahani.  There is no such thing as AI on the island but being a French island all of the restaurants are fantastic!  As a side note we have never stayed at a hotel there b/c we prefer staying in a private villa so you may want to check into that option also :)  St. Barth Properties is great to work with if you go that route.

  • Have you thought about Fiji? Most resorts down there will fit into your price range plus they only accommodate up to around 30 guests at a time. You'd have your own bure (villa) too. Check out: http://www.south-seas-adventures.com/ That's who we used to book and they have been great to work with. HTH! GL! :0)
  • Ditto Fiji! We're staying here: www.royaldavui.com It's adults-only, meals-inclusive. There are 16 private vales on the entire island, each with its own plunge pool. It's the cutest little island with fabulous snorkeling/diving! Also, right now they are offering a Pay 5/Stay 7 special. We can't wait- we know it will be the trip of a lifetime. We're going for 12 nights- 7 at Royal Davui and the last 5 here: www.LikulikuLagoon.com. This place has 46 bures- most are on the beachfront with plunge pools, but 10 are overwater bungalows! We're splitting our time between the two. If you decide you want to look at the South Pacific, I *HIGHLY* recommend my travel agent. She is fantastic- prompt, knowledgable, patient! caroline@easyescapestravel.com. Good luck!

  • Thanks for the ideas.  We never thought Fiji would be affordable (based on flights, etc.) but now maybe we should reconsider. We've also looked at St. Bart's and Anguilla as well as St. Lucia. At this point - I'm sick of looking! Thanks for giving us new hope to make this the most awesome trip!
  • Zoetry looks amazing....we actually got a price for april for about 4/23 (7 nights) on a 1bd. ocf with plunge pool and also air from Newark a total of $7,042p/couple. we priced this with: speedway_roseg@optonline.netand the agent name is {Rose}.I think we are going to book it, we good great reviews on this resort.Good Luck
  • Since you mentioned Jade Mountain, have you considered Anse Chastanet?  Both are within the same resort except that Anse Chastanet is built below Jade and is the original hotel.  The rooms aren't sanctuaries with infinity pools but more like treehouse rooms.  Both hotels share the same amenities, beach, restuarants (Jade has an additional one though).  We are staying there at the at the end of April and are paying a little over 7,000 all inclusive with air for 1 week.  Just thought I would mention it!
  • Love the ideas!I absolutely LOVE Petit St. Vincent and it was off our list because my first honeymoon (I cancelled my wedding 2 weeks out and luckily our honeymoon was a month later so I got all the $$$ back!) was supposed to be there.  So my FH is not too keen on the idea but I've always loved the property!  We are going to look into it again.Anse Chastenet is AWESOME!  We are thinking now of starting at Anse Chastenet and ending for a couple of days at Jade Mountain.  I think that might be our decision but we are re-examining PSV just in case! Thanks again for all the ideas!
  • I TOTALLY understand about the not touching the other guy's honeymoon.  Through rediculous twists of what I can only assume to be fate, I will be marrying my ex-fiance's friend.  It's all fine now, they weren't friends when we dated and my ex actually hooked us up (weird, I know, but it works), but I'm staying away from the ideas and plans I had before.Good luck!  I hope you find that PERFECT honeymoon.  And if you happen to run across that same idea for about 5K, let me know!
