Hi, fellow brides! My FH and I just figured out how to let our 34 guests know where they're sitting at our single (long) table: tented cards on each individual plates. The idea: when our guests walk into the wine cave where our dinner is being served, each plate will feature a 4x6 place card with their name/chair number on it (which will correspond to their escort cards); the other side of the tented card will feature their menu. So I was thinking of doing this myself and using what some designers call "kickstands" that are glued to cards so they'll stand. But I can't find them anywhere. Then I saw that you can buy table card holders online, but they range from $2.50 and up, which can get expensive. Does anyone have any DIY ideas that would work? Having a holder would be easier than trying to create a tented card -- and also reduce the amount of paper needed. Suggestions? Also, the bottom of each card will be wrapped in wide ribbon, so whatever the card is sitting in will be partially covered.
