Had my boudoir shoot last night!!! (Sorry my excitement made this long)

So the first amazing thing last night was I was 20 minutes early to my appointment.  The Glamour Shots is in our outlet mall so they asked me to go walk around and come back.  I happened to go to the Bloomingdales outlet store.  I have my dream wedding shoes, royal blue and black zebra stripe platform heels.  But they are 5" and realistically speaking I won't make it too long in them so I need backup lower heels.  The store was having their prez day sale and I found silver 3" shoes with a strap (important I think for when you move around so your foot stays in place) on clearance with an additional 50% off.  It total....$11.64!!! This is why I show up everywhere on time/early!

Then I had the best time at my shoot.  I got a little more nervous than I expected because my photographer ended up being a man but he was a true professional and made me laugh the whole time.  At the end of it, even when I was picky about my choices I had 46 amazing photos.  B/c that was super expensive I had to cut it 20 pics to get the rights to (for my photobook) which still cost a small fortune but they threw in a free photo calendar, slideshow of all my pics, and a 1'x2' acrylic wall picture!  I left there feeling like a total pin-up.

And to end a perfectly wonderful night, I had had my hair curled for the shoot.  FI has never seen me with curly hair and I kinda wanted to curl it for the wedding but didn't want that to be the first time he saw it in case he didn't like it.  My cover for where I was during the shoot was one of my BM's house.  I told him that we curled my hair playing around for the wedding and sent him a pic.  His response "Hey, that's pretty hot!! I like it!"  So now I know he'll love my hair in the pics AND finally decided on my wedding hair.

Had a stressful week so this was the best end to it ever.  And, FI moved away last Sunday but he has tomorrow off so he's coming tonight to spend the night and tomorrow with me Laughing  I'm on cloud nine.  Just can't let him get me drunk tonight and spill the beans about the pics!

  • That's so exciting!  I kind of want to do B pics for our 1st anniversary but our wedding photographer is a guy and I'm worried it would be awkward.  What did you wear?

  • Sounds like a great evening :) Happy that it went so well for you!!!
  • I was nervous about it too and really hoping he was gay (he wasn't but if FI ever asks he was!).  But, it was obvious within seconds that they are total professionals and want you to look beautiful and not uncomfortable.  We started by taking shots with a robe over my first outfit so I was more comfortable with him.

They allowed 4 outfits so I of course used all four.  My first was a white lace teddy that is FI's favorite.  With it I wore the white fishnets/garter belt I bought for the wedding that FI hasn't seen yet.  2. Pink and black corset with black "thong" (it is a gstring but it literally has a 1in piece of material that only covers my goodies...FI's bday present last yr haha) and black fishnets.  3. was a black lace bra I bought just for that (so FI hasn't seen), black lace thong, fishnets, and my blue and black wedding heels from above.  4. They provided and it was just a big piece of red satin material I wrapped around me to look like I was naked underneath (had on underwear and a straples bra).

Black is always classic but the pink corset brought some fun color to it so I recommend doing both.  I got some black and white pics where they only colored the pink top and it looks awesome!
  • that's so awesome!! you must be on cloud nine!! he's gonna love them!!

  • I'm giving him a photobook of them when we get into our bridal suite on our wedding night.  We live in a different state than our wedding so the acrylic wall hanger will be a bit too much to travel with so I am going to have my mom or one of my girls put that out while we are on our honeymoon (leaving the day after the wedding) so when we get back there is more for him to enjoy.

I may be willing to share a few of the less revealing ones tho I may put them on a private site for you girls so they aren't floating everywhere....though I am pretty proud of them haha I'd like the whole world to not have seen them before FI.
