drunk driver smashes into bridal salon

http://www.kxan.com/dpp/mobile/busy_halloween_night_for_policeSomeone smashed into Alexia Gavela last night!  I can't really tell what part of the store this is (front left room?) but I hope nobody lost their wedding dress!  Good luck to Geri getting his store back in order, that's got to be awful.  I hope he's going to be able to stay open the next few months- I was planning on ordering my dress there this week!

This is very sad, since everyone on this board recommends and loves Geri. I did not go to Alexia Gavela, but loads of ladies have had great experiences there.~Julie

OMG, that's awful!  I'm glad that no one was injured, but my dress is there.  My wedding is this Friday.  I'm going to call as soon as they open, but if anyone hears anything else, please post!

update: I drove past it on the way in to work this morning, and it is that front left room.  Looks like the back room where they keep clients' dresses is safe.  The samples in that front room were probably damaged though- and DAMMIT that's where mine lives (lived?)!

Wow - that is terrible! Sounds like whoever did it drove off too. Well, I hope they get what's coming to them. It's a good thing no one was hurt!!

Update: Heard from Geri yesterday - I'm just thankful it was not worse...Today we were able to clean up the front desk and re arrange all gowns that were not damaged. Most our inventory in that room is completely gone, but thankfully, we can easily replace all. All of our client gowns are safe, and am working out of my other store, Ceremonias Bridal, with all fittings and pick ups.

Wow! That is such a shame. Good to hear none of the client's gowns were damaged, though... I couldn't imagine!
