• What is your favorite song right now? OMG I love "Party in the USA" by Miley Cyrus. It's so embarrassing. It'll come on the radio and I'll smile and get happy. DH likes it too, so it's not like I'm an awful wife. What song can you not stand? I don't like Pokerface by Lady Gaga Were you ever a fan of the whole "boy band" thing? Oh god yes! I loved BSB more than N'SYNC. That was the first time that I really put posters on the wall. Do you/Have you ever played rock band? I own it! We just got the Beatles one and I love it. If you want to have kids, or already have them, do you plan to have them play an instrument? Yes, both dh and myself are musicians.

• Fav Song Right Now: "Under Pressure" by David Bowie, simply because I can relate right now. Cannot Stand: This is a throwback to summer, but the "Birthday Sex" song. Don't even get me started on it. The lyrics are ridiculous, the melody isn't that good, and if you intend to profit off a song whose only chorus is "Birthday Sex" over and over, you insult me. Boy bands: I got to see NSync in concert when I was 15 and it remains one of the best concert-going experiences of my life. Never played rock band. I doubt any child of mine and DH's will have the acumen to play an instrument. I tried to take piano lessons when I was 19 through my school's hippie "experimental college" and the teacher said I was unteachable. So I have no hope for my offspring. But I won't begrudge them the opportunity if they want to try!

• What is your favorite song right now? I'll go crazy if I don't go crazy tonight - U2and I'll admit I really like the Miley song too :)What song can you not stand? I'm really tired of hearing the Black Eyed Peas' I gotta feelingWere you ever a fan of the whole "boy band" thing? Not reallyDo you/Have you ever played rock band? FI has Guitar Hero but won't play it with me because I stink at it!If you want to have kids, or already have them, do you plan to have them play an instrument?Neither of us has any musical talent, so I doubt FI and I will produce another Mozart but if the kid wants to play something I would support them (depending on the instrument!)
• My favorite song hasn't changed: "Castle Walls" by Styx, but right now I've been listening a lot to Ella Fitzgerald's "Goody Goody." Yeah, my musical tastes run the gamut. I can't stand that godawful Umberella-ella-ella song. And at the wedding I went to on Sunday, not only did they play it, but the version they played was a REALLY bad slowed down remake of it! Nope, no boy bands for me. I didn't hate all their music, but I was never a fan. I was already older when that all started; I remember my friend's younger sister loving New Kids on the Block. Never even SEEN Rock Band. I know it's really popular. Don't have or want kids, but if I did, I'd let them play if they wanted to. My parents bought a piano at my behest because I wanted lessons. Stuck with it into college, too, but then things got too crazy & I dropped it.
• What is your favorite song right now? Jason Mraz - I'm YoursWhat song can you not stand? anything by lady gaga! Were you ever a fan of the whole "boy band" thing? absolutely!  i was supposed to go to a NKOTB concert in the 1st grade but my parents made me go to florida to see my grandparents instead, i cried the whole trip! Do you/Have you ever played rock band? no, we have too much stuff in our apartment already, there is nowhere for that guitar If you want to have kids, or already have them, do you plan to have them play an instrument? i don't care, i think Michael will want them to, he has a few guitars (which he never plays)... but doesn't everyone get a recorder in the 4th grade whether you want it or not?  i was never very musically ept... three blind mice on the recorder was the extent of my skills

• Babling, I can't believe your teacher would say that! What a douche! I also should add that I HATE that song by Owl City...the one where the magic and toy piano. Can't STAND that song. Alison- I have a feeling that the Black Eyed Peas song will be around for a while. C'mon, "TOnight's gonna be a good night" is universal to so many things. Baseball uses it. My niece calls it the "goodnight song" so I think of her when I hear it.

• What is your favorite song right now? My favorite song right now is "Just Breathe" by Pearl Jam. Their new album rocks my 90s child socks. What song can you not stand? I cannot stand anything by The Fray. At all. Were you ever a fan of the whole "boy band" thing? I put up a really good front in Jr. High/High School because I was a "punk" kid, but I loved loved loved Nsync on the sly. So much so I still have one of the Nsync bobblehead dolls.Do you/Have you ever played rock band? My fiance and I play Rock Band almost nightly. We have 1, 2 and Beatles and tons of downloadable content. It is absolutely my favorite game. I'm just crazy for it, it's so much fun. We've totally become the people who bring Rock Band everywhere we go if even a hint of someone wanting to play it is dropped. Before the franchise started to tank I was really into Guitar Hero as well.If you want to have kids, or already have them, do you plan to have them play an instrument? I wouldn't force my child to play an instrument, but I would hope that because my fiance and I and our families are so musical there would be a desire in the child to be a part of that. I was in band all through school and took piano lessons at the same time and loved it. I would hope to pass some of that along.

• What is your favorite song right now? Little bit in love with Meet me Halfway by the Black Eyed PeasWhat song can you not stand? Anything by Lady Gaga; I find her ridiculousWere you ever a fan of the whole "boy band" thing? Ummm, I actually just purchases the new Backstreet Boys CD.  I'm 27Do you/Have you ever played rock band? Actually, noIf you want to have kids, or already have them, do you plan to have them play an instrument?  The less noise, the better.
• Yeah I went to the EC and asked for my money back for the remaining sessions I'd paid for. They were the nicest guys and they felt really bad. And suddenly the next quarter they didn't offer piano again.

• Before I begin, I'd like to thank Tide for teaching me how to fix my italics.  I'm forever greatful! What is your favorite song right now? I know you want me, you know I want ya.. whatever.  PitbullWhat song can you not stand? It's older, but "The Climb" is still on my slacker station.  It makes me want to stab myself in the ear with a letter opener. Were you ever a fan of the whole "boy band" thing? I was really into New Kids on the Block when I was about 12.  Other than that, no.  I was pretty much in college by the time the rest of them came out.Do you/Have you ever played rock band? Once.  At a party.  Drunk.  I sang.  It was not pretty.  I'm not sure if it was Rock Band or Rock Star or one of the others, though.  It's whichever one lets you sing.If you want to have kids, or already have them, do you plan to have them play an instrument? I don't want kids, but if I did, yes.  I believe that playing and instrument and speaking a second language are things that you really have to start learning early in life if you are going to be really, really good at it.  I regret that I can't do either of these things.  If a kid randomly showed up at my house, I would push an instrument and a second language ahead of advanced or honors classes.
• Oh that's a good one, Leah. I HATE the "climb" too. I get all stabby!

• 1- Moondance by Van Morrison, but its been my fave for a LONG time. 2- Becky by Piles 3- NKOTB, Baby! I had all their buttons lined up on my suspenders..(Elem. and MS).. after that, not really 4- Guitar Hero once. I can play actual wind and string instruments but don't have the coordination required to play video game instruments. 5- I own 2 violins and a trumpet. Someone should use them! Probably suzuki violin starting at age 3 and then a marching band instrument later, unless they end up with their father's (assume FI) complete lack of rhythm.

• I would like to run Miley Cyrus over with my car.  And I'd like to buy Taylor Swift a book.  I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt and assuming she has no idea how stupid she sounds when she sings about Romeo and the Scarlet Letter in the same song.
• Sorry to the previous posts, but my favorite song right now is "I've Gotta Feeling" Songs I cannot stand? I can't stand it when the radio switches to techno versions of every song at night. It drives me nuts. I was never a big boy band fan. But I liked some Backstreet Boys and Nsync, and 98 degrees. Wasn't a diehard though. My brother has rockband and I have played it with him. I prefer guitar hero which my DH and I play sometimes. (no singing in guitar hero) I played musical instruments growing up, so I would love it if my kids wanted to play, however, I would never force them into any activities they didn't want to do.
• The part that drives me crazy is when she says "You were Romeo, I was the Scarlet Letter" like those two people (not that the letter was actually a person, but still) met and were in love. At least say "you were Romeo and I was Juliet." It's like mixing metaphors or something. Yes, I'm insane.
• Which Taylor Swift song are we talking about? I have only ever heard one. Where did Taylor Swift even come from. I hate the idea of wikipedia-ing her, which I have done. I just want an answer like this..."Kelly Clarkson became famous for American Idol"....Please tell me..."Taylor Swift is famous for....."

• I think Taylor Swift just made it. I remember when that song "Tim McGraw" came out and everyone was like "ooooh she's so young and wrote a catchy song! We love her!"I think a lot of her luster is a) she's young and b) she (I dunno if this is true anymore) writes (wrote) her own songs.

• Ok, got it. Thanks. My DH is 10 years older than me and I'm always calling myself his "youth consultant"...he was asking about Taylor Swift the other day and I felt like a failure because I couldn't for the life of me tell him ANYTHING about her except sing part of her song that';s out right now.
