I'm losing my excietment....

So my FI proposed on May 26th. By August I had major things done: Venue/catering Ceremony site Dress Photographer DJ Officiant My "fall stems" for next years centerpieces on sale at Michael's My vases to hold my candle centerpeices (we're alternating) Here it is November 1st and I haven't had to put a deposit down or research much lately... and I'm feeling like I'm in the wedding doldrums. That whole "hurry up and wait!" thing. My hairdresser gave me some wedding magazines and I was just like, "...eeeh..." Somebody get me excited about this! I feel like I've got nothing going on til I get my e-pics back and make my photo guest book?

I think that's VERY common!  Don't worry, as you get closer (I hope) the excitement will come back!!

It will come back.  I went through a point where I avoided projects, because I was sick of my life being only about wedding stuff.Your excitement will come back when things get closer and when you HAVE to get things done again.  Enjoy the lull while it lasts, things will pick back up soon and you'll be running at a frantic pace.  Spend some quality time with your FI, try to create some special moments and rituals to get them established now, so that when things are super crazy as the wedding gets closer, you'll have that solid rock to fall back on.

Ditto what pp said. Maybe shopping for things like wedding shoes, jewelry, BM gifts, etc., will help with the doldrums? Or maybe lurk on the DIY site and see if anyone posts any cool projects you want to try and that will keep you busy. Have you picked favors yet? When I feel like I've got nothin' going on, just trolling some wedding-related websites gives me ideas or at least helps me feel like I'm doing something productive.Of course, there's something to be said for just relaxing and enjoying the lull before something invariably has to be done.

Well I'm glad to know I'm not weird or that this is out of the ordinary :) Thanks!
