OK so i lied (actually she changed her mind).... If you know of low-cost venue/sites...please let me know of these too...she's basically freaking out and saying the wedding is off and I am trying to get her to step back off the ledge....

Bill Peck Photography - I can forward you my link to fb pics.  He worked for 7ish hours for $995.

Low cost venue sites: Maitland Civic Center Farmer's Market Call places that are owned by the City - those tend to be the least expensive.  University Club and Women's Club BOTH are in Winter Park.

For bartender- would she consider just doing wine & beer? That might cut down on alcohol costs at least. Or maybe contact one of the local bartending schools? Depending on the requirements of the venue, you might be able to hire recent grads. For DJ- would she consider doing an ipod wedding? I haven't been to any yet but I've heard they can be very nice still. For officiant- any notary can marry someone. So you could have a friend become a notary or maybe you know someone who would do it. That might even take that expense away period. And publix cake is yummy. I've heard of a bunch of brides using them before.

venue- agree with pp, anything owned by the city will be her best bet.catering- I'm using Bjoely catering, he's very cost efficient. and won't charge tax if you pay by check.  also look into bigcity catering and John Micheals events.  they both came in around $24.  they also offer bartending services.  photog/dj- I'm using esolis entertainment and have been really happy with them so far.  they offer video/photo/dj services.  they are trying to drum up buisness so their prices are really good.cake-  It's Tasty Too!!  AWESOME!!HTH!!

And publix cake is yummy. I've heard of a bunch of brides using them before.Publix is yummy, but I think It's Tasty Too might be cheaper, from the prices Publix gave me. I can find the price list if you need.

CAKE: It's tasty too prices were lower than publix for better design and flavor. (tastytoo.com) FLOWERS: my florist is one of the most reasonable around since she works out of her home: vicki mccullough of peddles (peddles.com)

For Flowers: Sheridan Flowers/Carolyn She's just a little old lady who loves doing flowers and has been in business for 40 years. Her prices are ridiculously low. Another florist recently told me that he has actually referred some customers to her when he simply can lower his prices enough to stay in their budget. I have a friend who has used her and loved her flowers and she was referred by her own friends who had also used her and were happy with her work.

I second John Michael's.  He will work with you if you are on a budget.  He has offered many options to help lower the price.  He got our bill down to $19.50 pp b4 tax.  Also, he can have a beer and wine bartender for an extra $4 pp (but you have to pay for the beer and wine)  I'd check him out if I were her and be honest about the budget, since he will really work to stay within it.

I'm coming in late here (I live here but got married up north), but I saw a posting on Craigslist from someone building a portfolio offering free photography to build their portfolio. I think it was on the Orlando Craigslist under Services, Creative. It was over a week ago though.HTH!
