    Yeah, I did.  We're going to have it at J. Gilbert's in Overland Park.  I was totally bummed about Buca di Beppo.  I talked to them and they seemed so great, and it sounds like a really fun place to have a rehearsal dinner.  I really wanted to go see the place and talk to them in person, and they had rooms open for our date.  It was almost perfect!!My FMIL didn't want to have anything down at the plaza b/c of parking issues :(   I wish they would've just wanted to go look, but I'm sure J. Gilbert's will be nice too.

    I am having mine at J. Gilbert's too! I've actually never eaten there but our church is in Joco so it made sense to use a restaurant there. Their menu sounds yummy though and the private room is really nice!

    It's a really nice place!!  We've actually never eaten there either, but our friends just rave about it.  Are you using the big room or the little one??  When you booked it, did you go through the manager Nick or the other guy.  I always talked to Nick on the phone, but when we went to see it, he wasn't in yet.  They just put a reservation in their computer system.  Is that how yours went, or did you have to have a contract.  I talked to so many places I couldn't remember exactly what they had said, and the other guy, Bill I think his name was, just didn't seem to know as much about a private party as Nick did.  Any advice??  I just want to make sure that everything is confirmed for that night.

    I *think* we're in the smaller room... they asked us how many people we had (30) and that's the room they showed us. It was to the left side of the restaurant when you walk in. I don't remember the name of the guy we talked to because we booked it several months ago, sorry! There wasn't a contract, though -- they just put us in the computer like you said. They said they'd contact us like a week or two before to finalize everything, but we just passed the info on to MIL and let her take it from there, lol.

    Ok great, just as long as you're having the same thing go on as I am.  I'm hoping it will be great!!  My FMIL was really excited about the place when we walked in.  She didn't even want to look at any other places.  When is your wedding??

    Our wedding is November 14, so about 1.5 weeks away! I'm starting to freak out a little :) lol
