We've been to Dominican Republic and loved it. Great beaches warm water tons if all inclusives to choose from. Would also recommend Jamaica or Bahamas.

We're going to Daytona Beach, FL! FI doesn't have a passport and we don't want to deal with going out of the country anyway! We're staying in a bombass hotel for about $800 for the week...here's a link to the hotel (I'm all about the private tanning porch since FI isn't quite as much of a beach bum as I am!)www.desertinnresort.comWe're staying in the oceanfront king jacuzzi suite (first one on the list)

Contact a good travel agent to get the best deals and to have them help you to determine the best option for your honeymoon. I know of two great ones.... Jennifer, Empress Travel, Falls Church Virginia Joann Kuo, Quality Travel Services, Mclean Virginia. 703 556-9010 joannkuo@qualitytravelservices.com I wasn't able to get Jennifer's contact information so she might no longer be there. I do know Joann has loads of experience with her Masters from Virginia Tech in Travel & Tourism. She made travel arrangements as part of a destination wedding that my BF had in Mexico and it was amazing! Most travel agents don't charge for packages, cruises or tours, so you have nothing to lose by contacting a reputable agent...(make sure they have loads of experience and have a major company behind them instead of working out of their basements by themselves! )

We just got back from the Excellence Riviera Cancun, it was AWESOME. So completely relaxing and gorgeous. It's on the Mayan Riviera. We did a lot of research on TripAdvisor.com, and when we booked we did so through AllInclusiveOutlet.com, which is a subsidiary of American Express Travel. We have no complaints, and would definitely go back.

We were looking at St. Lucia and Aruba until I figured out that we could go to Cancun (not in the icky party-central area, but out of Cancun proper) for literally twice as long for the same price. So we've booked 10 days at the NH Riviera Cancun, which is nearer to the Mexican Riviera. "Paradise Club" level, oceanfront suite with private jacuzzi on the balcony, no children under the age of 18, concierge service, a private restaurant (the whole resort has 10 restauants) and beach, all meals and drinks included, airfare included, for about $1700 each.

We went to Sandals Negril in Jamaica and had the BEST TIME. Granted, it was my first true tropical experience, and I'd never done the all inclusive, so nothing to compare it to. But Tripadvisor also has great reviews for that particular resort.....I'd highly recommend it.
