Photographer Fail

So, after 3 attempts in contacting Chelsea Donoho, and no response, I'm moving on to find a different photographer for our wedding. We really need to keep it under $1500 if possible, and would like to be able to print our own photos from a CD. Any suggestions for a low-budget bride? Thanks :)

Try Jeni Friend at http://jenifriendphotography.com/.  She has REALLY reasonable rates and you can purchase a CD with copyright ownership.

You might want to check out Wood Photography.  There website is woodphotostudio.com.  They did one of my friend's wedding this summer.  Their photos turned out well, and they have a huge package that covers the whole day, engagement pics and lots more for $1500 and they have another package that has a little bit less for $1000.  Might be worth checking out.

I'm using a relatively new photographer, Tiffany from Dolce Bella Photography.  She is VERY reasonably priced, sweet as can be.  We have our engagement photos on Nov 14th so I will let you know how that goes, but so far she has been amazing to work with and great references.  www.dolcebellaphotography.com

I had trouble getting a hold of her too and had to move on as well! I have been working with Doug Clark at Clark studios. He is really good. The package we went with is right at $1500 and we get a cd with all our images, 150 4x6s and an engagement session. Hope that helps!

I've got Monte & Cori Morgan of Artistic Impressions.  We've got them for 8 hours on the wedding day, as well as free engagement pictures, editing, and rights to ALL of the pictures for $750.  We had our E-Pics done last Sunday and he had 99 preview pics posted on facebook on Wednesday, then we received the disc of over 800 photos in the mail on Monday.  They have an extremely quick turn around, great shots and creative ideas, and are super affordable.  He is based in Spring Hill, KS but goes all around the KC area.  If you do go with them, mention Eric & Jessica and we will get $50 off of our wedding! Here is a link to my favorites of our E-Pics to see some of his work :)http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2384306&id=16820012&l=500a1ef2d7And his website is www.artisticimpressions-air.com/Good luck!

Check out Keith at Prairie Fire Images. He is a little more than $1500 but totally worth it. His website is www.prairiefireimages.com. I get worried when I hear about not hearing from vendors and cheap $500 photographers. You get what you pay for.

I booked Chelsea for my wedding this weekend, she did our engagement pictures and I was more than happy with them - I also have never had an issue getting a hold of her.  I sent her an email earlier tonight saying that I heard through a website some people were having issues contacting her, if she gives me a reason I'll post it here - not that it will matter to most of you I'm sure.  As far as "you get what you pay for", yes while most of the time that is true - sometimes there is such a thing as a good deal.

Futuremrsdawes - Thanks for your response and your willingness to help some of the people here figure out what's going on with contacting this photographer. I'm not trying to talk badly about your photographer, I'm just confused as to why I couldn't get a hold of her and give her business. I'm probably mostly disappointed because she seems to be very talented as well as resonably priced. Congratulations on your wedding this weekend (I have a suspicion that you're dancing as I type!)

We are using http://www.delaneyprophoto.com/ they have been doing weddings for 25 years now and I love the experience they have. It is a husband and wife team so you get two photographers and they have a wide range of wedding packages to choose from.
