inexpensive reception sites-near or in frederick

I posted this on the Maryland on also, since Frederick is pretty might right in the middle of DC and Balitmore thought this might be helpful too.

My fiance and i are looking for inexpensive reception sites, we would perfer something outdoors. Were getting married in Mrylte beach and having reception at home. We would like to keep cost down, due to the fact we'll probably be paying for it outselves. We also dont want anything to fancy. Just something laid back and fun !
thanks in advance for your help!!

I am ot that familiar with Fredrick, but are there any public parks where you could rent a pavillion?  My sister almost got married at Cunningham Falls State Park (near Catoctin), but she decided to have something closer to home.

I'm getting married at the Antrim in Taneytown and we looked at quite a few venues up there.
Are you looking for just a dinner wedding?  Or dinner, dancing, etc?

A few cheaper venues I know of (and some we looked at) were:

    Linganore Winery (so pretty!)
    Morningside Inn
    Danielle's
    Thorpewood
    The Inn at Buckeystown
    Strong Mansion

And a few of the area hotels-the Days Inn, Hampton Inn, etc...

    HTH!

    thank you for the help.
we wanted to do a pig roast but most people require licenses people, and our friend can it do for us. We just have to buy the pig.

We are getting married at Morningside Inn, so I'm a little biased towards it. :-)  It's fairly affordable if you do a Sunday or Friday event, and the place is beautiful!

Others I would recommend would be Thorpewood, or like PPs have said one of the parks.  I know that Pinecliff Park has a building - not just shelters - that you can rent out so you wouldn't have to worry about weather concerns.  I haven't been inside, but have peeked in the windows and it doesn't look too bad.

One of my girlfriends had her reception at Dutch's Daughter restaurant.  I was only able to go to her ceremony, but all my other girlfriends said the reception was very nice.

Also, there is a place in Hagerstown called Duffy's on Potomac which also looks cute (seen pictures).
