"What was a DIY aspect of your wedding that you were really proud of?"I'm actually hoping to make my own letter box thingy. Tacky, I know, but I just made one for my boyfriend's sister with a hot glue gun and stickers and it was a lot of fun, lol "Were there any things you tried to DIY that got scrapped?"See my previous answer

"Did your wedding start on time?"Doubt it... these things rarely do. And my possible future in laws are notoriously late. I think they were late to their oldest sons' wedding and they were nearly late to their 12 year old's birthday party the other night. "Which vendor was your worst? (You have to pick one)"I actually have a weird fear that my florist won't show up. Stupid Bridezilla episode has scarred me for life....

Didn't do DIY. Didn't attempt to do anything DIY. Hard to do when you live 3,000 mi from the wedding, aren't planning it, and don't care about the decorations. Started on time. DJ. DH's friend, a part-time amateur DJ who got up to play some arabic music, saved the day. They weren't as bad as the original DJ, who we fired after he kept pushing a $2000 spotlight lighting package he kept claiming we would regret not getting. Which we didn't miss at all.

What was a DIY aspect of your wedding that you were really proud of? Programs (I hope - they aren't quite finished yet!) and the favorsWere there any things you tried to DIY that got scrapped? Addressing invitations - I ended up hiring a calligrapher and it was by far the best money I've spent on the wedding so far!Did your wedding start on time? It should - I've heard the coordinators at my venue are very strict about the schedule (and I hate being late!)Which vendor was your worst? (You have to pick one) At the moment it's my dressmaker - they keep telling me the dress will be here "in the next week or so." It was supposed to come in mid-October, then end of October and now it's scheduled to be delivered next week and I'm starting to get really nervous!

1. I haven't made anything yet, but I have a few things on the list -- card box, favors, etc. 2. I tried a dry run of making favor chocolates, they didn't come out as well as I'd hoped. 3. Can't answer yet! 4. Can't answer yet! But I can say that when we were trying to book our reception, we narrowed it down to two hotels. One of them got back to us promptly -- within two hours of sending the email. This was back in August. The second hotel? Hasn't responded yet.

1) The biggest DIY things were tying the favors and the programs. I think the programs looked great.2) I knew that I wasn't a huge DIY kind of girl so we didn't DIY too much.3) My wedding started very close to on time if not on time. I wasn't wearing a watch though.4) I'd have to say our limo was the worst - but only because it was 95 degrees and the AC couldn't keep up with the heat.

What was a DIY aspect of your wedding that you were really proud of? Our invitations. I'm not crafty, like at all, but I DIYed our pocketfolds. They turned out great, and I actually had a few people tell me that it was the nicest invitation they'd ever seen. Were there any things you tried to DIY that got scrapped? Not really. Our seating chart got scrapped, and I would have DIYed the place cards.Did your wedding start on time? 10 minutes late. And I was annoyed. DH was at the front of the church with the priest, the girls and I were in the back ready to walk in, and we discovered that my FIL wasn't there. We all had to stand around and wait while my SIL (who lives OOT and had no clue) translated directions from the DOC. It worked out fine, though. The mass was shorter than expected. Our church is really strict on how much time you have to take pics after the ceremony.Which vendor was your worst? (You have to pick one) Overall, I was really happy with our vendors. If I had to pick, I would say the hair/make up guy. He did a good job, but he was kind of a jerk to my MIL and SIL. He told MIL the style she wanted was too 80's and screwed up SIL's and acted like a drama queen when she wanted it fixed. He was kind of a jerk to me that morning, too, and put us a little behind schedule so that we had to rush through some pics. Our hair looked great, though.

What was a DIY aspect of your wedding that you were really proud of? I've been getting a ton of compliments on my paper roses so far. I'm also really excited about the prospect of doing 150 tiny, individually decorated wedding cakes, because clearly I am insane. Were there any things you tried to DIY that got scrapped? Not really, so far. I did consider DIYing the cake stands, but it looks like it will be easier just to buy them. Did your wedding start on time? It damn well better. I've scheduled in an hour of buffer time before the ceremony in case we start to cascade. Which vendor was your worst? (You have to pick one) No vendor issues so far. I did contact a particular MUA for a price quote, since she didn't have prices on her website. She sent me TWO lengthy, poorly written sales pitch e-mails before I was able to get prices out of her. It was a major turn-off, and the prices ended up being way too high anyway. Pass!

1- I hope to do my own hair and makeup and not look like a clown. I generally suck at art and colors and the like, so this is a big DIY for me. I went to Sephora for the first time ever last week and bought eyeshadow that came with instructions. I am practicing diligently. Oh, and my mother is making the FG dress, so that is pretty darn cool. 2- I thought about doing my own flowers, but that will probably not happen. My sister or cousin may volunteer to help me with them, at which point it will again become a DIY. 3- It probably won't. We never do anything on time in our family, much to my step dad's chagrin. 4- Hopefully none of them *crossing fingers*

My table runners and programs. People were asking to keep the table runners and everyone loved the programs. Yes, I did a unity candle but it was windy on the day of so we did sand instead. Also dyed a crinny then didn't wear it because I got a different dress. No, my hair stylist made me a half hour late. I felt horrible because people freaked out at me about it.I'd have to say the DJ. Full review in married bio. HORRIBLE.

We did the programs ourselves. And I made a memoboard or whatever you want to call it, to hold all the escort cards. I didn't do too much DIY things, because I knew I would either run out of time or hate it at the last minute. I think we started on time, but I wasn't wearing a watch, it had to have been really close. The hair salon, not my stylist (whom I loved) but the stylist that did a few of my bridesmaids, told my SIL that she couldn't do the hair style she wanted because her hair was too short, but said he'd humor her and try anyhow... then when he managed the style that she wanted he told her it took 10 years off her. He also insulted the rest of us by saying he hates working with "those young ones". She didn't tell us that till after we left or I think I would've lost my temper. My photographer also yelled at my MOH and my other SIL. So she was a little rude too...

I guess the unity candle set, since I only DIYed that & the programs. I thought of DIYing my card box (ended up borrowing one) and the seating card/favor idea (M&Ms in little "Holy Grails" to go with the Monty Python bit), which were scrapped. I'm pretty sure my wedding started on time. If it was a bit late, it's because we were waiting for one of the guests to get into the room from his dash to the men's room. David's Bridal when it came to BM dresses. They sent one BM's dress to the wrong address, then tried to blame her. And they tried to sell another BM an entirely different and more expensive dress rather than agreeing to alter the one she already bought for my wedding.

Not Married Yet: 1) The invites. Everybody keeps asking me who we hired to do them ... I have to try really hard to contain my glee when I say "They're DIY". 2) The only other DIY projects I have planned are the favors (Which, I don't get a choice at this point, if we don't DIY, we're just not having favors) and the BMs earrings ... which I really already WANT to scrap the earrings, but I'm having a very hard time finding ones that match the necklace I picked (Yeah, yeah, I know everybody's gonna say "The BMs don't need matching jewelry" and all I hafta say on the matter is: my mother is driving me nuts, and there's very few things I've let her "win" on so far, so really, BMs having matching jewelry is WORTH getting my way on the favors, my shoes, the sweetheart table, the cake topper ... and pretty much everything else I've battled with her over). 3) There is no way in Hell my wedding is starting on time. My sisters and my mother are involved, I'll be lucky if we're only a 1/2 hour behind schedule that day. 4)My photog annoys the crap outta me. He outright told my FI "I ONLY talk to the BRIDE", and then when I got on the phone with him and told him we were BOTH paying for everything, and therefore we BOTH deserved his respect, and we BOTH were allowed to make decisions. Photog then told me (in the most politically correct way imaginable) "Look, we both know you think he's an idiot and you don't REALLY trust him, so cut the crap and quit trying to show me how 'cool' and 'trusting' you are, because I'm sure you're really just another dime a dozen bridezilla". If we weren't stuck with him at that point, I would have fired him on the spot.

[b]We were going to make our own invites and card box, but decided to get nice looking invites that didn't take hours to make and just held the cards. There were only 10 I would say. Did your wedding start on time? [b] Like stage, we started on time. I was NOT going to be running late.[/b] Which vendor was your worst? (You have to pick one) [b] Our photgrapher was hard to get a hold of 2 weeks bfore the wedding.[/b]

What was a DIY aspect of your wedding that you were really proud of? I was very proud of all the inserts in our invites and the place cards came out great! Were there any things you tried to DIY that got scrapped? I was going to make a card box once I got to Colorado and then just completely forgot about it! Did your wedding start on time? Yes it did! The church coordinator was a crazy lady and kept freaking out at people (like my Dad was walking around before the ceremony and she didn't want people to see him and she was afraid he would forget to walk me down the asile...). She made sure it started on time. Which vendor was your worst? (You have to pick one) One of the hair stylists (I had to divide the group into 3). Everyone started at 8am and would be done by 10:30am. I sent 3 of my bm to eclips and at 10:15am, as I am heading to the Church done with hair/makeup, I get a call from the first bm to have her hair done, and she just got out. It took the lady over 2 HOURS to do an updo with short hair. She had the other two girls out by 12:30pm, but they ended up missing lunch

Oh, and then she started to blame it all on me. She said that I had said 12:30pm even though I have in writing 10:30am....
