Needing a DJ

Alright, I need more Knottie advice.FI and I have decided to go another way with the DJ. We originally had a friend that was going to do it, but he's only 17 and I'm starting to get nervous about his dependability. He will be graduating from HS around the time we get married and I don't want to have to worry about him flaking out on us the month before the wedding.So.... how much are you spending on a DJ? and any recs?

I used Thomas and Thomas and they were $600 or 650 for 6 hours. They are located in Westland but will travel to you for meetings

I am considering MMUDJ (Steven Moore). He DJ'd a friend of mine's wedding last month and did a great job. Wasn't 'over the top', etc. I believe he told me $850 for 6 hours (although that's a Friday, so it might be a little more for Saturday). I have his info if ur interested.

I am going with Brendan Pfaff from Best DJ. $800 flat fee for the night -- including an assistant, lighting, etc. Info in bio. He is based out of Warren, but will travel around Metro Detroit. I saw him at a wedding last fall and he did a great job. More info in my bio.

I got Brendan from Best DJ for $700....I just put $800 because I thought my discounted rate was because I was a referral. His website advertises $800. If you want to say you're a referral, just shoot me an email ... jholbel at gmail dot com.
